This is a fun and super funny video produced by Mercola.com. It’s a cartoon video parody on the approaches of allopathic medicine (“managed $$ disease-care”) rather than true healthcare and healing approaches) to attend to our most serious chronic ills.

Over the past few decades this has left us in the very brutal throws of ever growing chronic illness epidemics – such diabetes, cancer, arthritis, Alzheimer’s and so on – and that are treated very profitably but not reversed to undo threaten those profits. For example, most cases of diabetes can be reversed through diet and in as little as 30 days. Instead my own dad was treated for 50 years with insulin, supposedly “controlling or managing incurable diabetes” – or so he was told – until he eventually died with the ailment and went legally blind. The blindness was a “side-effect” of the treatment.

There are far better ways. This funny video touches thus on serious topics.

WHY WORRY ABOUT

DOCTORS AS THEY AGE

Based on an article from NYT by LAURIE TARKAN

COMMENT

(Healingtalks) There have been studies in Europe where it turned out that the average allopathic doctor was no healthier than the average person in our modern culture as a whole.

This is extremely telling.

Why then go to an allopathic doctor if they have no edge, on average, and especially with unending use of so-called “just side-effecting” pharmaceutical drugs, unnecessary and disabling surgery and commonplace deadly radiation treatments. Allopathic medicine, as such, has no solution for what is the nature of  human consciousness. So it is not surprising that even Nobel Prize winning physicians and other conventional scientists have routinely fallen prey to Alzheimer’s.  An example of such a Nobel Prize winning physician is  Dr. John Douglas French who himself established America’s first facility for treating Alzheimer’s patients and yet himself died with Alzheimer’s disease!

These cases are tragedies both for the doctor and the doctor’s family. But there is a solution is in sight. What is needed is a revolutionary understanding of the fundamental directions of our healing arts. This must be away from the mechanical/dead-laden vision of nature (and derivatively our bodies) of the 17th century that underlies all of allopathic medicine. This also makes a marriage with powerful commercial forces, especially Big Pharma, to undermine medical wisdom. Throughout healigntalks I have expressed the need for a  shift to not just a deeper and more integral understanding of life and consciousness, of health and healing,  but also of a revolutionary overturning the neanderthal philosophy of Isaac Newton that brought us into the modern world but also bankrupted our wisdom to reverse epidemic chronic human ills and environmental devastation.

A Case in Point of An Ill Doctor

About eight years ago, at the age of 78, a vascular surgeon in California operated on a woman who then developed a pulmonary embolism. The surgeon did not respond to urgent calls from the nurses, and the woman died.

Even after the hospital reported the doctor to the Medical Board of California, he continued to perform operations for four years until the board finally referred him for a competency assessment at the University of California, San Diego.

“We did a neuropsychological exam, and it was very abnormal,” said Dr. William Norcross, director of the physician assessment program there, who did not identify the surgeon. “This surgeon had visual-spatial abnormalities, could not do fine motor movements, could not retain information, and his verbal I.Q. was much lower than you’d expect.”

Yet “no one knew he had a cognitive deficit, and he did not think he had a problem,” Dr. Norcross continued. The surgeon was asked to surrender his medical license.

A Rising Population of Aging Doctors Who Do Not Retire

A fifth of the nation’s physicians are over 65, and that proportion is expected to rise. As doctors in the baby boom generation reach 65, many are under increasing financial pressures that make them reluctant to retire.

Many doctors, of course, retain their skills and sharpness of mind into their 70s and beyond. But physicians are hardly immune to dementia, Parkinson’s disease, stroke and other ills of aging. And some experts warn that there are too few safeguards to protect patients against those who should no longer be practicing. “My guess is that John Q. Public thinks there is some fail-safe mechanism to protect him from incompetent physicians,” Dr. Norcross said. “There is not.”

Often the mechanism does not kick in until a state medical board has found it necessary to discipline a physician. A 2005 study found that the rate of disciplinary action was 6.6 percent for doctors out of medical school 40 years, compared with 1.3 percent for those out only 10 years.

With Complicated Operations, Older Surgeons Produce Higher Mortality Rates

In 2006, a study found that in complicated operations, patients’ mortality rates were higher when the surgeon was 60 or older, though there was no difference between younger and older doctors in routine operations.

Screening Aging Doctors For Competency

Patient advocates note that commercial pilots, who are also responsible for the safety of others, must retire at age 65 and must undergo physical and mental exams every six months starting at 40. Yet “the profession of medicine has never really had an organized way to measure physician competency,” said Diane Pinakiewicz, president of the nonprofit National Patient Safety Foundation. “We need to be systematically and comprehensively evaluating physicians on some sort of periodic basis.”

Some experts are calling for regular cognitive and physical screening once doctors reach 65 or 70, and a small cadre of hospitals have instituted screening for older physicians. Some specialty boards already require physicians to renew their certification every 7 to 10 years and have toughened recertification requirements. But such policies have met resistance from rank-and-file doctors.

“I do not believe that diminished competence attributable solely to age is a significant factor in the underperformance of most poor-performing physicians,” Dr. Henry Homburger, 64, professor of laboratory medicine at the Mayo Clinic, said by e-mail. Mental illness like depression, substance abuse and a “failure to maintain competence through continuing education far outweigh age as causes of poor performance, in my opinion,” he wrote.

Others doubt that a single type of exam can be used to assess the performance of doctors from a variety of specialties. “More research is needed for us to define what combination of cognitive and motor issues are important,” said Dr. Stuart Green, a member of the ethics committee of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Minimal Requires To Continue To Practice Medicine

Physicians do have to meet minimal requirements to continue to practice. To renew a medical license in most states, doctors must complete a certain number of hours of continuing medical education every year or two.

This does not impress experts like Dr. Norcross. “You can be asleep during those courses and no one would know,” he said.

Even the tougher new policies of specialty boards do not usually apply to older physicians, who, because of “grandfather” clauses, are not required to renew their certification — an expensive, time-consuming process.

They are being encouraged to do so voluntarily, but few do — less than 1 percent of the 69,000 so-called grandfathered members of the American Board of Internal Medicine, for example.

Subtle Unconscious and Unnoticed Changes in Medical Competency

Doctors with mild cognitive impairment may not be aware they have a problem or their performance is flagging. Changes are often subtle at first: a person may not be able to recall words, learn new material, apply knowledge to solving problems or multitask.

These deficits can make it hard to carry out the latest recommendations for diagnosis and treatment, learn new computer-based technology, remember prescribing details about medications, or function well in a stressful environment like the emergency room.

Only when a doctor’s behavior starts to become odd are other physicians, nurses and patients likely to take notice.

Medical professionals are supposed to report colleagues’ unsafe practices and bad behavior. But doctors are reluctant to confront their fellow physicians, especially their seniors, who may have trained them. “Sometimes we empathize too much and have difficulty making the hard calls when we need to,” Dr. Norcross said.

Doctors often cover for physicians who are becoming less sharp, by having another surgeon in the operating room or by regularly reviewing their cases, Dr. Green said.

Confronting the Issue of Aging Doctors

Dr. John Fromson, associate director of postgraduate medical education at Massachusetts General Hospital, cited a case at another medical center in New England, where physicians noticed cognitive changes in the 77-year-old chairman of internal medicine.

He was highly respected and had trained most of the physicians at the center, so they were reluctant to confront him. Instead, they gave him a retirement party, hoping he would take the hint. “But he didn’t,” Dr. Fromson said. “He kept on working.”

Dr. Fromson staged an intervention, at which four or five of the doctor’s close colleagues confronted him as compassionately as they could. “We reaffirmed our concern and caring for him, and asked him to hand over his medical license,” he said. “He became quite tearful, but he did.”

To lift this burden from peers while protecting patients, 5 percent to 10 percent of hospitals around the country have begun to address the issue of aging physicians more systematically, said Dr. Jonathan Burroughs, a consultant with the Greeley Company, which advises hospitals and health care companies.

“The other 90 to 95 percent are not willing to take this on,” he said. In some instances, their efforts have been squashed by a vocal medical staff.

At Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Tex., Dr. Karl Serrao, the credentials chairman, decided to move slowly and enlisted the staff’s help in drafting a policy for aging physicians. The staff expressed concerns about age discrimination, losing the valuable experience of older physicians and invasion of privacy. Now the hospital’s policy states that when doctors 70 and older are up for reappointment, they must undergo cognitive and physical exams that assess skills specific to their specialty.

Is Screening of Doctors in the Offing?

Dr. Burroughs says that screening physicians may be a more compassionate route than doctors think. “By identifying the issue early enough, it enhances their chance of being able to practice longer,” he said. When a cognitive deficit is discussed openly, the physician’s practice can be simplified, he can reduce his patient load, and his partners can regularly monitor and assess his work.

“But once something bad happens,” Dr. Burroughs said, “he’ll get his license taken away.”

America Conned: Psycho Pharma Empire Under Fire

Is America truly stricken with widespread mental illness? Do tens of millions need mind-altering drugs? A recent flurry of media articles lead readers to a realization that Big Pharma and the “mental health” industry have deceived Americans on a grand scale.

The “New York Review of Books” two-part article by Dr. Marcia Angell, Senior Lecturer at Harvard Medical School and former Editor in Chief of The New England Journal of Medicine, summarizes it extremely well. She analyzes three books by authors Irving Kirsch, Robert Whitaker, and Daniel Carlat. Each deconstructs the apparent mental illness epidemic and theory that mental disorders stem from brain chemical imbalances which can be corrected by drugs.

Dr. Angell’s review has sparked a host of other journalists to applaud her and fuel the fire. An article in Forbes even concludes, “psychopharma is looking like an idea whose time has passed.”

Overview of how Big Pharma conned America

  • 10% of Americans over age six take antidepressants.
  • Antipsychotic drugs, once reserved for schizophrenics, have become the top-selling class of drugs in the US, with over $14 billion in sales in 2009.
  • ADHD, bipolar and autism diagnoses have exploded in the past two decades with at least 5 million US kids now on psychiatric drugs.
  • 10% of boys take drugs for ADHD.
  • Half a million kids take antipsychotics, including preschoolers.

The Chemical Imbalance Theory

This rose to fame when Prozac hit the market in 1987, accompanied by massive hype that it corrected a chemical deficiency in the brain. In the years that followed, the number of people prescribed drugs for mental illness skyrocketed. Today, “treatment” for mental disorders is synonymous with psychoactive (mind-altering) drugs.

Tracing the origin of this theory shows it wasn’t that chemical imbalances were discovered in the mentally ill and then drugs were devised to correct the imbalance. Instead, drugs created for other purposes were incidentally found to also affect brain chemicals and blunt mental symptoms. Drug companies, hungry for new markets, and psychiatry, eager to build stature in the medical arena, leapt on this. They conducted a vast campaign to popularize chemical imbalances as the cause of mental disturbance and push drugs as the answer.

As Dr. Angell writes, “instead of developing a drug to treat an abnormality, an abnormality was postulated to fit a drug.” “Or similarly,” she says, “one could argue that fevers are caused by too little aspirin.”

Many scientific studies disprove the chemical imbalance theory.

  • After fifteen years of research, Irving Kirsch – psychologist and author of “The Emperor’s New Drugs” – concludes, “It now seems beyond question that the traditional account of depression as a chemical imbalance in the brain is simply wrong.” Research studies show psychoactive medications actually disrupt brain chemistry and causes the brain to function abnormally.
  • This year prominent neuroscientist, Dr. Nancy Andreason, announced proof that antipsychotics shrink the brain.
  • Studies also demonstrate that long-term recovery rates are higher for non-medicated patients. For instance, the World Health Organization conducted an investigation in fifteen cities around the world and out of 740 depressed individuals studied, those that weren’t on psychiatric drugs had the best long term outcomes.
  • In the pre-medication era, it was known that with time, people usually recovered from depression. If kids had tantrums, were unruly or shy, they were apt to outgrow it.

Today, individuals branded with disorders are likely to receive long-lasting diagnoses, endless prescriptions and the poorer ones tend to remain on disability for life.

Big Pharma manipulation

Dr. Marcia Angell says the author of each of the three books agrees on “the disturbing extent to which the companies that sell psychoactive drugs – through various forms of marketing, both legal and illegal, and what many people would describe as bribery – have come to determine what constitutes a mental illness and how the disorders should be diagnosed and treated.”According to IMS Health, an information and consulting company, pharmaceutical companies spent $6.1 billion in 2010 in marketing to US doctors.

  • Another $4 billion was spent on direct-to-patient advertising.
  • The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual – the psychiatric bible of mental disorders, used in prescribing drugs – Dr. Angell points out “in all of its editions, it has simply reflected the opinions of its writers.” The majority of the psychiatrists involved in creating the current edition had financial ties to drug companies.
  • Drug trials, used to bring a drug to market, are funded by drug companies, heavily biased and misleading. Companies may sponsor as many trials as they like until they have just two positive ones to submit to the FDA. Great care is taken to hide negative trials. The highly positive results of placebo trials are downplayed: a high percentage of patients recover on a fake drug (like a sugar pill) – proving that the more a person believes he will benefit from a treatment, the more likely he will experience a benefit.
  • Author Daniel Carlat points out that “psychiatrists consistently lead the pack of specialties when it comes to taking money from drug companies.”

Big Pharma’s crime against humanity

And where has the “mental health” industry and “drug therapy” brought our nation?

As Americans line up at their local pharmacy, documented side effects are legion: weight gain, deadened emotions, diabetes, heart problems, liver damage, stunted growth in kids, shortened life spans and on and on. Those prescribed one psychoactive drug are commonly prescribed another to address side-effects, with many on daily cocktails of meds.An estimated 2.2 million Americans are hospitalized each year for adverse drug reactions.

  • Over 100,000 die from them.
  • Instead of decreasing, the number of adults on disability pay for mental illness has soared 250% since 1987.
  • For kids it’s a 35X increase.

The greatest crime to humanity is the mass drugging of children. Yet it’s perpetrated within schools, doctor offices, foster homes and juvenile facilities daily.

There is good news. In the past few years, drug companies have faced a rise of multi-billion dollar class action suits. The key popularizer of childhood bipolar and antipsychotics for kids, Dr. Joseph Biederman, was publicly sanctioned by Harvard Medical School for failing to report $1.6 million he pocketed from drug companies. Some drugmakers are steering away from pursuing new psychoactive drugs.

Big Pharma Telling A Big Lie

Nazi chief propagandist Joseph Goebbels once said, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”

This chemical-imbalance/drug therapy lie has been told big enough and repeated enough, that much of America believes it. Isn’t it time we all put a stop to it?

Nutritional Illiteracy – What the Average Doctor Doesn’t Know

2 Comments 16 October 2010

nutritional illiteracy

Introductory comments by Nathan Batalion

The wealth of information provided below is from Natural News. It was first published October 11 2010. I think the article still understates the extent of the problem.   Doctors are trained in the mechanical vision of nature and so have almost zero knowledge of a life-centered view of nature and our bodies . A life-centered view is practiced at alternative/natural health centers like the  Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center or Hippocrates Health Institute.  As a result, they routinely reverse chronic illnesses naturally. Sometimes the patients have been so wasted, their doctors have told them to carefully straighten out their affairs, such as ordering a burial plot and get ready to die. After going to such a healing retreat, they return re-enlived and to befuddle and refute their doctors.

We occasionally need a surgeon after a car accident when an arm is severed. But with deep chronic conditions their mechanical approaches tend to be either worthless or do harm. Just as the total impact of synthetic chemicals is pollute our environment, the effect on our bodies can be expected to be the same – doctors are taught to study drugs separately in isolation from each other. This creates marketing biases for individual drugs, or a lack of objectivity. Yet allopathic medicine claims a monopoly ownership of objectivity. The great truth is that without a view of the whole of chemical impacts, this objectivity is a corrupt and total illusion. Doctors are intentional mis-educated not to recognize this. For example, the word “detox” is relegated to heroine addict clinics or the like, as if there were no chemical toxins at all to deal with in the real world – making drug administering just fine and dandy. What imaginary world are they living in, so  corrupted by trillion dollar chemical industries.

With natural healing we focus instead on whole-body healing nutrition and supportive detox (getting out what shouldn’t be there) Doctors are often so surprisingly ignorant of anything outside of the world of dispensing drugs, surgery and radiation. As a result, I have often view them as among the single most mis-educated members of our society.

Here is the story:

(NaturalNews) America is a nation of widespread health and nutritional illiteracy. And I’m not just talking about the knowledge gaps of health consumers, either. It’s the doctors and health “experts” who have astonishing gaps in knowledge that should be considered basic health information in any first-world nation.

Parents, too, lack any real literacy in nutrition and health. That’s largely because medical journals, health authorities and the mass media actively misinform them about health and nutrition issues, hoping to prevent people from learning how to take care of their own health using simple, natural remedies and cures.

Here are some shocking examples of the huge gaps in knowledge among doctors, parents and others…

What your doctor doesn’t know might actually harm you

  • Most doctors have little or no understanding of the nutritional difference between LIVE foods and DEAD foods. Most doctors think they’re nutritional identical!
  • Most conventional doctors don’t know that the NIH actively funded and operated criminal medical experiments on human prisoners (http://www.naturalnews.com/029920_U…).
  • Most parents have no idea that processed meats (bacon, sausage, sandwich ham, etc.) are laced with the sodium nitrite coloring chemical that promotes aggressive brain, pancreas and colon cancers. (http://www.naturalnews.com/007024.html).
  • Most doctors have no idea that seasonal flu vaccines are little more than quackery and simply don’t offer any real protection against the flu. (http://www.naturalnews.com/029641_v…)
  • Very few parents know the difference between the words “natural” and “organic” on food labels. Most parents just think “natural” means “organic” and so they buy more products that claim to be natural (even when the word means nothing).
  • Few doctors realize that statin drugs were engineered from a molecule called lovastatin, found naturally in red yeast rice. The drug companies pirated the molecule from nature (biopiracy), then patented it. Then they pressured the FDA to declare that red yeast rice was an “adulterated” supplemented because — get this — it naturally contains the drug they stole from it!
  • Most parents are completely befuddled by the nutritional claims of infant formula. They are astonishingly unaware that some of the most popular infant formula products such as Similac are made with over 50% sugars (http://www.naturalnews.com/029863_S…)
  • Virtually no one outside the natural health community knows that soy protein is extracted using a toxic, explosive chemical called hexane. (http://www.naturalnews.com/026303_s…)
  • Very few people know that the carmine food coloring used in fruit punch drinks and strawberry yogurt is actually made from smashed red beetles.
  • Most doctors remain completely unaware of the anti-cancer nutrients found in celery, grapefruit, cabbage and chocolate. They tend to believe that medicine comes from laboratories, not food.
  • Very few parents are aware that processed milk and dairy products promote obesity, heart disease and acne in their teenage children. Astonishingly, most adults have been fooled into thinking that yogurt is good for them because it contains probiotics (never mind the homogenized milk fats).
  • Most people of all ages, come to think of it, believe that frozen yogurt is somehow good for them, even though it’s really just processed ice cream sprinkled with probiotic powder (http://www.naturalnews.com/029038_f…).
  • Most doctors are completely unaware of the health dangers of aspartame and MSG and make no attempt to educate their patients about avoiding these excitotoxins.
  • Most people don’t know that if you sign up as an organ donor, literally millions of dollars may be made off your body parts while your organs go to murderers! (http://www.naturalnews.com/029296_o…) Also, if you’re an organ donor recipient, you may receive a cancer-ridden, diseased organ as your “new” transplant. (http://www.naturalnews.com/027353_h…)
  • Think cooking on non-stick cookware is safe? Most people have no idea that non-stick cookware surfaces are made of highly toxic chemicals, and if you heat a non-stick pan on the stove, it will actually off-gas enough toxic chemicals to kill your pet parakeet (this is not a myth).
  • Very few doctors know that the human body has a second brain. It’s located in your gut, and it’s a highly complex mass of interconnected neurons that give real “intelligence” to your digestion and your interactions with food. There’s even a book called The Second Brain (http://www.amazon.com/Second-Brain-…) that explains how it works.
  • A typical conventional doctor cannot tell you the health benefits of blueberries — even though blueberries can make statin drugs obsolete for many people! Most naturopaths, however, are well aware of the benefits of blueberries and may even prescribe them to you.
  • Most doctors DO know the truth about how toxic chemotherapy is for patients, but they won’t tell patients the details of what they know. It turns out that 91% of oncologists would not choose chemotherapy for themselves. (http://www.naturalnews.com/029996_c…)

This list could continue, of course. There are seemingly countless examples of extreme gaps in the knowledge of doctors who should frankly know better.

Med school graduates get an “F” in health

So why do conventional medical doctors remain so ignorant of the basics of human health and nutrition? Because medical schools don’t teach health. They teach disease, surgery and pharmacology. They offer virtually no material on nutrition, disease prevention or mind-body medicine, so the doctors that graduate from medical school are nutritionally illiterate and lacking basic health knowledge.

Yet, at the same time, they are being told that they know everything about health and the human body, so they suffer from the most dangerous combination of all: A smug, know-it-all attitude combined with far-reaching health illiteracy. This is one of the key reasons why America’s health care system is such an utter failure — the people who are supposed to possess more health knowledge than everybody else are the very same people who actually lack it. In a sense, they have been “de-educated” by medical schools and come out knowing less than they did when they entered med school.

I’m not the only one who thinks this. In fact, you’ll find some of these concerns reflected by other doctors who are appalled at the arrogance and health illiteracy of their own peers. For example, a commentary published in the July 14 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) features Dr. Pronovost, a professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, explaining how physician arrogance is killing tens of thousands of patients across America today.

Holistically-trained doctors who went way beyond medical school and taught themselves principles of nutrition often describe their own conventional medical school training as wildly inadequate. Dr Andrew Weil, for example, famously describes his conventional medicine colleagues as “nutritionally illiterate.”

And he’s right. Most conventional doctors are nutritionally illiterate. So are most parents. And if we wish to change the health future of America, this situation obviously needs to change. Nutrition should be the foundation of med school training, not an afterthought.

You can’t create a healthy nation if the people practicing medicine don’t know much about health and nutrition themselves.

Anatomy of an Epidemic – The Hidden Damage of Psychiatric Drugs

1 Comment 12 October 2010

mental illness epidemic

Disturbing trends in mental illness in America

By Jed Lipinski
(Review of book published by Salon April, 2010)

In the past few months, the perennial controversy over psychiatric drug use has been growing considerably more heated. A January study showed a negligible difference between antidepressants and placebos in treating all but the severest cases of depression. The study became the subject of a Newsweek cover story, and the value of psychiatric drugs has recently been debated in the pages of the New Yorker, the New York Times and Salon. Many doctors and patients fiercely defend psychiatric drugs and their ability to improve lives. But others claim their popularity is a warning sign of a dangerously over-medicated culture.

The timing of Robert Whitaker’s “Anatomy of an Epidemic,” a comprehensive and highly readable history of psychiatry in the United States, couldn’t be better. An acclaimed mental health journalist and winner of a George Polk Award for his reporting on the psychiatric field, Whitaker draws on 50 years of literature and in-person interviews with patients to answer a simple question: If “wonder drugs” like Prozac are really helping people, why has the number of Americans on government disability due to mental illness skyrocketed from 1.25 million in 1987 to over 4 million today?

“Anatomy of an Epidemic” is the first book to investigate the long-term outcomes of patients treated with psychiatric drugs, and Whitaker finds that, overall, the drugs may be doing more harm than good. Adhering to studies published in prominent medical journals, he argues that, over time, patients with schizophrenia do better off medication than on it. Children who take stimulants for ADHD, he writes, are more likely to suffer from mania and bipolar disorder than those who go unmedicated. Intended to challenge the conventional wisdom about psychiatric drugs, “Anatomy” is sure to provoke a hot-tempered response, especially from those inside the psychiatric community.

Salon spoke with Robert Whitaker over the phone about the reasons behind the pharmaceutical revolution, how “anxiety” became rebranded as “depression,” and what he thinks psychiatrists are hiding from the American public.

Psychiatric drug use is a notoriously tough subject for writers, because of all the contradictory research. Why wade into it?

In 1998, I was writing a series for the Boston Globe on abuse of psychiatric patients in research settings. I came across the World Health Organization’s outcomes study for schizophrenia patients, and found that outcomes were better for poor countries of the world — like India, Colombia, Nigeria — than for the rich countries. And I was startled to find that only a small percentage of patients in those countries were medicated. I also discovered that the number of people on disability for mental illness in this country has tripled over the last 20 years.

If our psychiatric drugs are effective at preventing mental illness, I thought, why are we getting so many people unable to work? I felt we needed to look at long-term outcomes and ask: What does the evidence show? Are we improving long-term outcomes or not?

But you claim in the book that psychiatrists have long known that these drugs can cause harm.

In the late 1970s, Jonathan Cole — the father of American psychopharmacology — wrote a paper called “Is the Cure Worse Than the Disease?” that signaled that antipsychotics weren’t the lifesaving drugs that people had hoped. In it, he reviewed all of the long-term harm the drugs could cause and observed that studies had shown that at least 50 percent of all schizophrenia patients could fare well without the drugs. He wrote, “Every schizophrenic outpatient maintained on antipsychotic medication should have the benefit of an adequate trial without drugs.” This would save many from the dangers of tardive dyskinesia — involuntary body movements — as well as the financial and social burdens of prolonged drug therapy. The title of the paper poignantly sums up the awful long-term paradox.

Why didn’t this change people’s minds about psychiatric drugs?

Psychiatry essentially shut off any further public discussion of this sort. And there’s a reason for this. In the 1970s, psychiatry felt that it was in a fight for its survival. Its two prominent classes of drugs — antipsychotics, and benzodiazepines like Valium — were coming to be seen as problematic and even harmful, and sales of these drugs declined. At the same time, there’d been an explosion in the number of counselors and psychologists offering other forms of non-drug therapy.

Psychiatry saw itself in competition for patients with these other therapists, and in the late 1970s, the field realized that its advantage in the marketplace was its prescribing powers. Thus the field consciously sought to tell a public story that would support the use of its medications, and embraced the “medical model” of psychiatric disorders. This took off with the publication of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders III in 1980, which introduced many new classes of “treatable” disorders.

In a recent New Yorker article, Louis Menand suggested that anxiety drugs were rebranded as antidepressants in the ’80s, because anxiety drugs had acquired a bad name. Is that really true?

Depression and anxiety are pretty closely linked. Before benzodiapenes came out, the discomfort that younger people and working people felt was seen as anxiety, by and large. Depression was seen as less common, a disease among the middle-aged and older. It was this deep thing, where people are putting their heads in their hands and can’t move. But when the benzodiazepines were proven to be addictive and harmful, the pharmaceutical companies said, in essence, “We have this market of people who feel discomfort in their lives, which we used to call anxiety. If we can rebrand it as depression, then we can bring a new antidepressant to market.” It was a reconceptualization of discomfort, and it opened up the giant market for antidepressants as we see today.

And yet many studies have shown that antidepressants can treat depression, especially in severe cases.

In severe cases, you do see that people benefit from antidepressants, and that shows up consistently. But you still have to raise the question, even in that severe group: What happens to those medicated patients in the long term, compared to what happened in previous times? One thing that surprised me, looking at the epidemiological literature from the pre-antidepressant era, is that even severely depressed, hospitalized patients could with time expect to get well, and most did. Today, however, there’s a high incidence of patients on long-term drug therapy that become chronically ill.

What about stimulants used to treat ADHD. How effective are they?

These stimulants alter behavior in a way that teachers can appreciate. They subdue finger-tapping and disruptive symptoms. But in the 1990s, the National Institute of Mental Health started looking to see if things like Ritalin were benefiting kids with ADHD, and to this day they have no evidence that this drug treatment improves long-term functioning in any domain — the ADHD symptoms, lower delinquency rates, better performance at school, et cetera. Then the NIMH studied whether these drugs provide a long-term benefit, and they found that after three years, being on medication is actually a marker of deterioration. Some patients’ growth has been stunted, their ADHD symptoms have worsened. William Pelham, from the State University of New York at Buffalo and one of the principal investigators in that study, said, “We need to confess to parents that we’ve found no benefit.” None. And we think that with drugs, the benefits should outweigh the risks.

What’s so risky about Ritalin?

For one, a significant percentage — between 10 and 25 percent — of kids prescribed medication for ADHD will have a manic episode or psychotic episode and deteriorate in such a way that they’re diagnosed with bipolar disorder. A similar study in 2000 on pediatric bipolar disorder reported that 84 percent of the children treated for bipolar illness — at the Luci Bini Mood Disorders Clinic in New York — had been previously exposed to psychiatric medications. The author, Gianni Faeda, wrote, “Strikingly, in fewer than 10 percent of the cases was diagnosis of bipolar disorder considered initially.” The reality is that until children were medicated with stimulants and antidepressants, you didn’t see juvenile bipolar mania.

But if these studies are so groundbreaking, why have they gone unreported in the media?

Because the NIMH didn’t announce it. Just as they didn’t announce the 2007 outcome study for schizophrenia patients. In that study, the recovery rate was 40 percent for those off meds, but only 5 percent for those on meds. I checked all the NIMH press releases for 2007, and found no release on this study. I found no announcement of it in any American Psychiatric Association publication or textbook. Not a single newspaper published an account of the study. And that’s because the psychiatric establishment — the NIMH, the APA, even the National Alliance on Mental Illness, an advocacy organization — did not put out any press release about it or try to alert the media in any way.

Are you suggesting that psychiatrists are beholden to pharmaceutical companies?

Not exactly, although most of the leading academic psychiatrists act as consultants, advisors and speakers for them. The problem is that psychiatry, starting in 1980 with the publication of the DSM-III, decided to tell the public that psychiatric disorders were biological ailments, and that its drugs were safe and effective treatments for those ailments. If it suddenly announces to the public that a long-term NIMH-funded study found that the 15-year recovery rate for schizophrenia patients was 40 percent for those off meds and 5 percent for those on meds, then that story begins to fall apart. By not reporting the results, psychiatry maintains the image of its drugs in the public mind, and the value of psychiatrists in today’s therapy marketplace.

So do you think psychiatric drugs should be used at all?

I think they should be used in a selective, cautious manner. It should be understood that they’re not fixing any chemical imbalances. And honestly, they should be used on a short-term basis. But beyond this, I think we should look at programs that are getting very good results. This is what I love about Keropudas Hospital’s program in Finland. They have 20 years of great results treating newly psychotic patients. They see if patients can get better without the use of meds, and if they can’t, then they try them. It’s a best-use model, not a no-use or anti-med model. It fits with our studies done in the 1970s that found if you use this model, you get better outcomes, and a good number of people get better and go on with their lives.

Conventional Medicine, Other Failures

IS MODERN MEDICINE A LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH IN THE US?

No Comments 10 October 2010

death by medicine

An Institute of Medicine report was published in 1999 was authored byDr. Barbara Starfield of the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health and describes how the US health care system contributes to an epidemic of deaths.

But the article, which implies our medical care system is the third leading cause of death really understates the problems by miles.

This is because of a refusal to acknowledge that deaths from say cardiovascular disease, obesity and diabetes  which could be greatly lessened if our established medical care system took on the fast food industry as they did the tobacco industry. But why should they? Many more suffer from these ailments and the medical care system’s profits would plummet. Nearly 75% of Americans are now overweight or obese! These figures tell a disastrous story. Yet you wont find that very publicized in the major media. Those media thrives on billions of dollars of medical and pharmaceutical ads. They are not going to attack the hand that feeds them.

In any event here are the study’s key findings

DEATHS PER YEAR:

  • 12,000 — unnecessary surgery
  • 7,000 — medication errors in hospitals
  • 20,000 — other errors in hospitals
  • 80,000 — infections in hospitals
  • 106,000 — non-error, negative effects of drugs

These total to 225,000 deaths per year from iatrogenic causes in 1999 and they are likely to be much more today.

What does iatrogenic mean? Created in a patient by a physician’s doings.

Dr. Starfield offers several warnings in looking at these numbers:

  • First, most of the data are derived only from studies in hospitalized patients.
  • Second, these estimates are for deaths only and do not include negative effects that are associated with disability or discomfort.
  • Third, the estimates of death due to error are lower than those in the IOM report.

If the higher estimates are used, the deaths due to iatrogenic causes would range from 230,000 to 284,000. In any case, 225,000 deaths per year constitutes the third leading cause of death in the United States, after deaths from heart disease and cancer. Even if these figures are overestimated, there is a wide margin between these numbers of deaths and the next leading cause of death (cerebrovascular disease).

Another analysis concluded that between 4% and 18% of consecutive patients experience negative effects in outpatient settings, with:

  • 116 million extra physician visits
  • 77 million extra prescriptions
  • 17 million emergency department visits
  • 8 million hospitalizations
  • 3 million long-term admissions
  • 199,000 additional deaths
  • $77 billion in extra costs

The high cost of the health care system is considered to be a deficit, but seems to be tolerated under the assumption that better health results from more expensive care.

However, evidence from a few studies indicates that as many as 20% to 30% of patients receive inappropriate care.

An estimated 44,000 to 98,000 among them die each year as a result of medical errors.

This might be tolerated if it resulted in better health, but does it? Of 13 countries in a recent comparison, the United States ranks an average of 12th (second from the bottom) for 16 available health indicators. More specifically, the ranking of the US on several indicators was:

  • 13th (last) for low-birth-weight percentages
  • 13th for neonatal mortality and infant mortality overall
  • 11th for postneonatal mortality
  • 13th for years of potential life lost (excluding external causes)
  • 11th for life expectancy at 1 year for females, 12th for males
  • 10th for life expectancy at 15 years for females, 12th for males
  • 10th for life expectancy at 40 years for females, 9th for males
  • 7th for life expectancy at 65 years for females, 7th for males
  • 3rd for life expectancy at 80 years for females, 3rd for males
  • 10th for age-adjusted mortality

The poor performance of the US was recently confirmed by a World Health Organization study, which used different data and ranked the United States as 15th among 25 industrialized countries.

There is a perception that the American public “behaves badly” by smoking, drinking, and perpetrating violence.” However the data does not support this assertion.

  • The proportion of females who smoke ranges from 14% in Japan to 41% in Denmark; in the United States, it is 24% (fifth best). For males, the range is from 26% in Sweden to 61% in Japan; it is 28% in the United States (third best).
  • The US ranks fifth best for alcoholic beverage consumption.
  • The US has relatively low consumption of animal fats (fifth lowest in men aged 55-64 years in 20 industrialized countries) and the third lowest mean cholesterol concentrations among men aged 50 to 70 years among 13 industrialized countries.

These estimates of death due to error are lower than those in a recent Institutes of Medicine report, and if the higher estimates are used, the deaths due to iatrogenic causes would range from 230,000 to 284,000.

Even at the lower estimate of 225,000 deaths per year, this constitutes the third leading cause of death in the US, following heart disease and cancer.

Lack of technology is certainly not a contributing factor to the US’s low ranking.

  • Among 29 countries, the United States is second only to Japan in the availability of magnetic resonance imaging units and computed tomography scanners per million population. 17
  • Japan, however, ranks highest on health, whereas the US ranks among the lowest.
  • It is possible that the high use of technology in Japan is limited to diagnostic technology not matched by high rates of treatment, whereas in the US, high use of diagnostic technology may be linked to more treatment.
  • Supporting this possibility are data showing that the number of employees per bed (full-time equivalents) in the United States is highest among the countries ranked, whereas they are very low in Japan, far lower than can be accounted for by the common practice of having family members rather than hospital staff provide the amenities of hospital care.

Chemotherapy, Conventional Medicine, Other Failures

PHARMACISTS, NURSES, DOCTORS DYING FROM HANDLING CHEMO CHEMICALS – PART I

No Comments 23 July 2010

chemotherapy-drugs

There is no greater sign of the bankruptcy of modern medicine than to resort to treating cancer with the very chemicals that cause cancer! Often the greater “side-effects” of a chemo treatment are, strangely enough, killing one cancer to get a different cancer down the road for not just the patient but the pharmacists, nurses, and doctors who handle these chemicals!

It is such a bankrupt approach because we have a society-wide denial of the failure of an underlying worldview that holds up the tenets of modern allopathic medicine with the equivalent of toothpicks. In short, that forms of medicine is based on the 17th century’s mechanical vision of nature – the life and consciousness-stripped view. Cancer, which spreads silently and unconsciously, is really a consciousness disease. The death-laden view fosters the creation of that disease and then teaches the doctor to kill any offending element (virus, bacteria, fungus, tumor, etc) rather than addressing the cause – eliminating synthetic chemicals from our whole and total environment to support  life and consciousness in our bodies. But then the mechanical view fails to even recognize anything but the mechanical as real.

Secondly, modern medicine keeps applying the “double negative approach.” This is to kill what harms. But a double negative is never a full positive or ersatz. If it is upheld as a rescuing positive or true healing agent, it is a deception.

Thirdly,  the root 17th century view of nature does not realize the actual failure of what is a fundamental math-based vision of nature as applied to life – 0r to the living world of nature and rather than to the mechanical world of machines. Synthetic chemicals, thus drugs included, are a by-product of the pure math-led designs of a worldview effected in a typical chem lab.  If the order that designs those chemicals is in fact validly the “ultimate order of nature” then allopathic doctors stand defended, appear rational, and should their advise should be pursued. This means we are justified in pumping all manner of chemicals into our bodies, as well as chemical  food additives, dyes, preservatives, and so on.  But if Newton’s vision of the 17th century was fundamentally wrong , then the whole approach of modern medicine loses its claims to rationality and crumbles.

Because life is the concentrated presence of consciousness, and consciousness forms the principle of connection itself in nature, the mathematical view actually clashes with the core essence of life. Math symbols abstract relationships of ultimate separation in nature (anything counted thus has to be separate). This guides the design of machines made of separate parts. But again it also opposes, in my experience, the root healing/connective forces of nature as defined above. This is why chemicals so deeply and systemically pollute our environment and our bodies to cause metastatic cancers.

To then use the very same most destructive and causative chemicals to treat cancer is unconscionable (like treating an alcoholic with gin and tonic, a cancer patient with lard, a diabetic with refined sugar and a smoker with chewing tobacco). It is a silent and deeply embarrassing admission of the full  bankruptcy of an underlying approach and vision.

One of the unfortunate results is that anyone who comes into contact with these highly dangerous and carcinogenic chemicals, such as the doctors, nurses and pharmacists peddling the same toxic drugs as “medicine” to make a living,  become themselves prone, in a reverberating karma, to getting cancers.

DOCTORS, NURSES, PHARMACISTS DYING FROM HANDLING CHEMOTHERAPY DRUGS – PART II

Chemotherapy

Doctors, nurses,

pharmacists

dying from handling

chemotherapy drugs

Part II

(Healingtalks) When an oncologist treats a cancer patient “successfully” for one kind of cancer and the patient later develops another form of cancer, government statistics, defending the industry, tend to overlook the connection. This would challenge the insanity of the underlying approach. Here we can call the later cancer as being “secondary.”

Secondary fallout”

The pharmacist, nurse or doctor contracts cancer “second-hand.”.Each year hundreds of thousands are killed by chemotherapy, but this doesn’t even include this secondary and second-hand fallout.

Story of Sue Crump and other pharmacists

A story was released by the Seattle Times about Sue Crump, a pharmacist who for two decades dispensed chemo drugs and herself died last September of pancreatic cancer. A dying wish of hers was to let the world know about her job exposure to chemo drugs.  The Seattle Times article also mentions a recently released study by the US Center for Disease Control confirmed workplace contamination among those who handle chemo drugs.  It lists four other pharmacists who are dead or dying from chemotherapy drug exposures.

Danish report

Add to this a Danish report that from 1940s to the 1980′s there was a significant increase in the risk of leukemia among oncology nurses and later physicians. Last year another study of more than 92,000 nurses found an increased risk of breast, thyroid, nervous-system and brain cancers.

To the doctor – tell him or her to drink some first

Natural News reported on this story with the comment: “If these chemicals are so dangerous to the doctors, nurses, and pharmacists dispensing them, how can they be considered “safe enough” to inject into patients who are already dying from cancer? …if a nurse can become violently ill after merely spilling chemotherapy chemicals on themselves…then what effect do you suppose these chemicals have when injected into patients?…So the next time [your doctor] insists that you take chemotherapy, ask him to drink some first.”

No occupational safety measures

Occupational safety measures have not been effected and guess why? If handling these chemicals is so massively dangerous to the provider, then why are we injecting these chemo chemicals into the bloodstream of some of the weakest of patients who enter a hospital?

Where is the conscience underlying that?

Chemo- holocaust

As I said, modern medicine functions at a level of intense bankruptcy that is historically unprecedented. It fosters and contributes to a chemo-holocaust that effects our bodies and our planet – with a total denial of the facts. How often do you hear of an MD advocating organics? There is also the karma of doctors themselves, and their families, tragically falling prey to cancer while denying the real cause.

Chemo drugs, pesticides and herbicides – the chemical killers of life that make the most money for pharma-chemical conglomerates – have akin ingredients with the chemo drugs that cancer victims are exposed to.

Repression of alternatives

Natural therapies that really work to reverse and prevent cancer are shunned. The former tends to destroy vital forces while killing cancer cells, and the later actually can restore those life forces. But doctors who treat cancer naturally and with breakthrough effective therapies and insights, like Max Gerson among others, have been stripped of their MD license with great speed. The brutal political/monetary game goes on heartlessly. But then we don’t need a real heart or conscience in an essentially mechanical world. The machine has no ghost of life.  The heart is just a mechanical pump, which the doctor’s stethoscope symbolizes!

Fear and confidence game

Cancer patients are unfortunately victims of an incredible fear and confidence game that’s been perfected and has become more increasingly shameless and efficient. In addition to the patient, nurses, doctors and pharmacists get to feel the boomerang. Again its karmic. This cannot even be called a criminal hoax. There is such shared unconsciousness by the medical professional parties involved that it almost appears innocently unconscious, except at the corporate level.

All this works to extinguish the sacred breath of so many helpless, trusting human beings yearning to have their life uplifted or saved, not destroyed.

Power of money predominates

One thing we can learn from this is just how incredibly powerful the whole lure of money is. This is not visible in mechanical realms, like running a machine shop. It is most visible in the healing arts because of what “healing” means. To heal is to bring consciousness and life back into the body. Consciousness is the principle of connection itself. Consciousness and life are what heals, not drugs that are math-designed.  To focus on what is mechanical is also to look thus towards what is lifeless and unconscious. This gravitates to what is  life-cutting apart. Thus the gravitation of modern medicine to surgery, cutting the body apart, replacing human parts as with a machine, or by killing and destroying an aspect of our body via chemo or radiation. It is also very left-brain, looking at specialized details without seeing the holistic principles involved.

I shiver when seeing how this approach corrupts the core consciousness of decent and very intelligent individuals – including doctors I personally adore as friends. To compound the cultural corruption, there is a catapulting and in some ways the insane 17th century worldview that supports what are now the vastly crumbling pillars of modern allopathic medicine.

DIABETES DRUG FRAUDS

3 Comments 14 July 2010

Do drug makers ever lie to us and the doctors they serve?

Unfortunately they do.

My step-dad had diabetes for nearly 50 years and died blind. This was without anyone telling him, except for me repeatedly, that he was being lied to by the industry. He had seen too many pro-industry TV ads. Who was I to go against this mind-bending cultural avalanche?

Who was I to whisper in  my his ears that there are several effective ways to naturally reverse diabetes – and also quickly – and thus never go blind?

Some examples of the heartless deceptions of drug companies are as follows. The first is based on a recently released NY Times article. The article exposed a really criminal diabetes drug fraud:

SMITH  KLINE’S AVANDIA DRUG FRAUD
“In the fall of 1999, the drug giant SmithKline Beecham secretly began a study to find out if its diabetes medicine, Avandia was safer for the heart than a competing pill, Actos, made by Takeda.

Avandia’s success was crucial to SmithKline, whose labs were otherwise all but barren of new products. But the study’s results, completed that same year, were disastrous. Not only was Avandia no better than Actos, but the study also provided clear signs that it was riskier to the heart. But instead of publishing the results, the company spent the next 11 years trying to cover them up, according to documents recently obtained by The New York Times. The company did not post the results on its Web site or submit them to federal drug regulators, as is required in most cases by law.”

MORE ON THE DIABETES DRUG SCAM
Dr. Joel Fuhrman, a famous nutritional physician who pioneered work in nutrition density, once help a patient (among many) who was also a school principal and to completely reverse her diabetes. The patient then wrote an article for her school principal trade magazine  about Dr. Fuhrman’s approach. This caught the attention of the American Diabetes Association. They thus contacted Dr. Fuhrman and asked  him to write an article for their magazine. He agreed and they soon sent him a $750 advance. After he submitted the article, Dr. Fuhrman heard back from the ADA politely thanking him but also asking him to alter (fudge) the article. The problem was that wrote about not cutting back on his patients’ insulin but rather taking patients off insulin entirely. They explained that it was impossible for them to publish that since Ely Lilly, the manufacturer of insulin, was their magazine’s primary funder. Dr. Fuhrman, having considerable integrity, refused to change his article and sent them back their $750.

Do you get the picture?

Favorite phases of the industry are therefore “living with diabetes” or “controlling diabetes,” not curing it.

Since Dr. Gabriel Cousens showcased his hugely successful nutritional approach to reversing/eliminating/curing diabetes, see Simply Raw, Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days, the ADA has enforced a systematic industry silence against this economic threat. So did all their friends, other Big-Pharma- financially-controlled and/or monetary-front organizations. This includes the International Diabetes Federation (the “proud” sponsors of World Diabetes Day).

When such organizations raise funds to supposedly “cure” diabetes or help diabetics – please beware! Don’t be one of those well-intentioned but fooled followers. They are instead funneling funds back to the drug makers, to their sponsors in a promotion profit-center of its own, or to fund drug research operations and thereby keep treating and not ever reversing diabetes (the latter being an economic disaster) with drugs.

For most individuals this is extremely hard to believe. Could modern life be so deeply full of commercial deceptions? But this is why medical care cost in the US  has risen from 4.5% of GDP in the 1940′s (or in the pre-TV advertisement era and where thereafter drug tacking was powerfully pushed on the modern collective-subconscious-psyche) to 18% of GDP, and with the very worst of results. The major media who hugely accept drug advertising (with ad$s leading the pack of virtually all other industries) are corrupted thereby. The billions are spent on such advertising campaigns because selling of poisons with harmful “side-effects” is a vast psychological push, going against common sense. Politicians supported by Big Pharma lobbyists may tackle Smith Kline’s outright fraud, but not the larger, more insipid and concealed fraud of the diabetes treatment industry as a whole.

And without facing this very starkest of realities, nothing essentially changes.  Medical costs will rise yet more. We and our loved ones become the holocaustic victims, my step-dad included – the abused, misused and taken advantage of.

AT-THE-HEART-OF-LIFE

1 Comment 05 July 2010

at-the-heart-of-life

If the essence or core of life resides in the concentrated presence of consciousness, then knowing what the latter really is become decisive. William James once wrote that the discovery of what is consciousness will be the most powerful discover of all or to which all other discoveries of science will pale by comparison. Again I have studied these issues for nearly half a century and coming to certain conclusions I consider breakthrough and revolution. The answer to the question what is consciousness, on the face of it, may seem simple, even simple minded. But ultimately the implications are so powerful, the overturn the very root foundations of our western worldview – upon which also allopathic medicine is built. If the foundation is false, it will explain why the system of medicine built on that foundation is now failing and crumbling. Answering that question will thus lead the way to knowing why one is being mislead, and how to retrace one’s steps to truly resurrect, heal, recapture, nourish and support one’s consciousness – and thus rescue one’s life in the midst of a life-threatening health challenge.

It is what we know that will save our life.

CONSCIOUSNESS AS THE PRINCIPLE OF CONNECTION ITSELF IN NATURE
Here is the most critical and invaluable insight I want to share. Consciousness forms the principle of connection itself in nature. It is what, at the core, holds nature together and when drawn out of that core manifests as connected-to-wholeness or organic, living, conscious organisms. Why is this view earthshaking and revolutionary? Revolutionary means reverse revolving, just as Copernicus began a revolution in worldviews by observing a literally reverse revolution of the earth and sun (heliocentric rather than earth-centric) as implied in the Bible. In what context then is my view of consciousness revolutionary?

THE CONTEXT
The most important element in any culture is its central paradigmatic worldview. If a worldview is ill, the healing of that worldview has the most powerful effect of any kind of healing because it affects the whole of one’s consciousness and thus life. In the medieval era there was a biblical concept of God that filled this role and directly or indirectly exerted a most powerful influence. Since the 17th century, the quantitative/mechanical view of physics, chemistry, and later genetics eclipsed that of the biblical in at least supposedly understanding the external world.  But what is the essence of that new math-bound view? Math symbols actually abstract how to separate all elements of consciousness and this view elicits, draws out, nurtures the creation of machines made of separate parts. This is why in modern medicine surgery is so important. We cut the body apart and replace parts as we would with a machine.

WHY THAT VIEW CAN’T HEAL LIFE AND CONSCIOUSNESS
If life is the concentrated presence of consciousness and consciousness is the principle of connection itself in nature, no view of the core of nature is more opposite, more opposing to that essence than the mathematical. This is why machines designed by that worldview are not alive and not conscious. This is why a system of medicine that is grounded in a core view which systematically elicits/draws out of nature the exact, precise and reverse opposite of what is the core essence of life and consciousness  cannot but fail abysmally. In fact it will support the development of human health and consciousness pandemics. This is precisely what is happening in our modern world.  It is insanity to treat cancer, for example, with the same chemicals and radiation that cause cancer, unless one lives inside the mechanical worldview.

A related implication is that the integrity of consciousness is undermined, why the allopathic/mechanical view is so ripe with deceptions.

The most global implication is a similarly profound impact on all of surrounding life on our planet. This is why we are in the midst of a wholesale species holocaust.

We essentially follow the dictates of technologically advanced but inwardly death-delivering culture which has gained accelerating speed and breadth of global impact over a 400 year span. It takes huge amounts of vision, clarity of mind, courage and knowledge to step outside this culturally-created illusionary and deadly framework. Then we begin to move in a different life-supportive direction along an entirely different path. We understand deeply why the opposite path can’t work – past all the deceptive media information – and towards our own  integral healing.

THE DEADLY PRACTICE OF MODERN MEDICINE

No Comments 01 July 2010

modern-medicine

Since at least the 1950′s we  have been systematically indoctrinated to believe in modern medicine and “better living through chemistry.” This has been especially promoted via countless TV ads and print media articles. In this cultural environment, if one states  the more honest and bare truth about modern medicine’s deceptions and dangers, this often falls on disbelieving ears. We are rarely taught to look past the white sterile coats of doctors, the priests of modern medicine who also count their dollars after we leave their waiting rooms. We are rarely told that most major chronic illnesses are actually on an epidemic rise. Though we know the likely lifestyle causes, little is done to prevent and thereby reduce disease incidences. Most everything is rather done to profitably treat. Worse yet, this often uses the most toxic-possible chemical treatments. These either accelerate death or create a death-like unconscious living. We see this tragically in nursing homes where the seniors who are drugged with pharmaceutical cocktails commonly walk the halls like zombies. In this light, Mike Adams points out much more of the same in Natural Health Solutions:

ADVERTISING FRAUD & DECEPTION - The promotion of most drugs is based on exaggeration and vastly misleading statements. The claimed objectivity gains force via paid government approvals to convince people most drugs are safe when they are not. Harmful “side-effects” are quite commonly the true main effects of drugs causing significant and dangerous bodily harm. America allows direct-to-consumer advertising of such prescription drugs, using fake smiling models that are alluring. Drug companies also routinely invent new disease names for the sole and only purpose of marketing of drugs. This is to convince gullible healthy people that they are really sick and in need of costly, addictive medications.

GOVERNMENT FRAUD & NEGLIGENCE- Evidence shows the FDA is paid fees by drug companies to approve drugs as “safe.” The FDA  also enforces the shut-down of natural products deemed competitive, and sometimes with armed raids or by means of real extortion. Natural product companies that don’t take their health claims off the Internet are threatened with million dollar fines, incarceration and the seizure of their assets.  Yet one drug killed and maimed more Americans than the Vietnam War but was approved by the FDA as safe.

NON-PROFIT SCAMS -  Mike Adams also chronicles the equally shocking truth that major non-profit disease organizations tend to be little more than fronts for Big Pharma’s needs, and with rarely a real interest in curing.

MEDICAL PRACTICE FRAUDS – Certain screening tests, such as CT scans, significantly increase the risk of cancer and are  designed to create a patient lineup for lucrative treatments that remove symptoms in the most deadly ways. As Dr. Gary Null points out in  his Death By Medicine, modern  medicine has been statistically proven to be the number one cause of all premature and unnecessary death in America.

How do we get past this medical care system which delivers such  so-called “care.”

First we must stop blindly believing ads, mass media articles in support of modern medicine, and then worshiping doctors trained in pharmaceutical-funded institutions.

Secondly, healing is all about connection to wholeness. Cutting a body surgically into parts does not make us whole. Feeding it chemicals designed mathematically (math symbols abstract separation) does not make us whole. Rather life and consciousness in the body begin to seriously fall apart. To test the underlying craziness, throw a large random mix of chemicals into any compost heap, and everything in the heap dies. This is akin to what forms super-toxic waste sites. Biological life is not thereby healed but polluted with toxins and harmed. The root understanding is itself quite harmful in the form of being consciousness-polluting or illusionary.

We MUST therefore challenge the logic, science and objectivity of the root mechanical vision of nature applied to life. Otherwise we will never escape the trap of being so massively and pervasively deceived.

US HEALTH CARE – LAST AMONG SEVEN INDUSTRIALIZED NATIONS

2 Comments 29 June 2010

health-care
Our U.S. health care bills are so high they are nearly bankrupting the nation.

The rate of growth in American health care costs has, in fact, outpaced our Gross Domestic Product for decades.

US HEALTH CARE COSTS SOAR AS % OF GDP - HIGHEST ON THE LIST
In 1940, the total spending for health care was only 4.5% of GDP.  In 1990, it rose to 12.2%, and in 2005 American health care spending soared to 16% or about $2 trillion and $6,697 per person. This was far more than any other nation.  In 2010,  health care spending is approaching 18% of GDP. Health care costs are out of control and now amount to nearly $8,000 in the U.S. per capita.

File:International Comparison - Healthcare spending as % GDP.png

QUALITY OF US HEALTH CARE RANKING – LOWEST  ON THE LIST
At the same time, the United States ranks last on several measures of health care performance compared to seven industrialized nations including Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, New Zealand and the Netherlands (according to a report by the Commonwealth Fund). The Commonwealth Fund is a private foundation that supports independent research on public health policies

INFANT MORTALITY, PREMATURE DEATHS, LIFE EXPECTANCY
On measures that track healthy lives, the United States ranks last in terms of infant mortality and deaths before 75 years of age (preventable with timely access to treatment) and the US ranks next to last for healthy life expectancy at age 60.

LIVING DEATHS
That is not all. More than 80% of people who die in the U.S. have long progressive illnesses that modern allopathic medicine fails to effectively reverse – cancer, heart disease, diabetes and so on. The health care system blames the disease (calling it incurable), assuming no responsibility for a massively failing medical approach. All of these health conditions are clearly preventable and reversible using natural approaches.

LEADING CAUSE OF BANKRUPTCY
Hospitalizations during  the last six months of life are rising. Treating chronic illness in the last two years of life is taking up one third of all Medicare dollars. People are sicker now as they die.  As a result, medical care is  the leading cause of individual and ultimately society-wide financial bankruptcy.

IATROGENIC EVENTS
Then there is the issue of iatrogenic events or errors, surgical mistakes, and drug overdoses or fatal combinations, which Gary Null reports as the leading cause of death and injury in the United States (See Death by Medicine). As many as one million Americans are dying annually due to medical mistreatment and malpractice.

CHRONIC HEALTH EPIDEMICS
With all of this happening several chronic disease statistics are rising to epidemic proportions. The incidences of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and autism were all significantly less some decades ago.

WHY THE U.S. MEDICAL CARE SYSTEM IS IN A SHAMBLES

In short our U.S. medical care system is a shambles and others around the world are emulating this disaster, as medical inflation is spreading around the globe.  This is so widespread and systemic that we logically can suspect the “why” of this is occurring being rooted in some very, very deep or permeating and essential foundations. This involves the root cornerstones of all of modern medicine, namely being grounded in a false and failing vision of nature, the mechanical/math-bound that first came to dominance in the 17th century. The seeds of that mechanical worldview are now coming to a black flowering and rotted fruition.  It is ultimately an anti-healing and death-laden vision of nature that is also polluting our planet at risk and globally supporting epidemics of species deaths. It is that worldview which fosters a system of medical care based on  prescribing chemical drugs, chemotherapy, genetic therapy, surgery and radiation. It  overall leads to a diabolical vulture marriage between a grossly failing system of “medical miscare” and vast monetary/financial/profit-motivated forces. Unbeknown to the unwary, sometimes leading university hospital care, the most prestigious, is far more dangerous because of the close marriage with pharmaceutical companies to conduct drug experimental trials and thereby give them authoritative prestige. This close overall marriage (expanded to include related and conglomerate chem-agri-processed-GMO-food industries) and supported by a bought major media,  is what has so completely ingrained, deepened and institutionalized the mass deception, the callous cruelty we call modern medical “care.” The word “care” is, in this context, an ultimate misnomer.

NOTHING MORE DESPICABLE
With exception of often effective emergency health responses, for the most part chronic ailments are treated with abominable, horrid  illness-maintenance and hidden for-profit approaches. There is hardly anything more disgusting and despicable in modern society. The toll of our whole medical system outpaces the combined toll of international wars, terrorist attacks, transportation accidents, and so on.  At the same time, nothing bankrupts us as much financially and in terms of our inner life force or consciousness. For example, Alzheimer’s patients become substantially more unconscious and devitalized (walking the halls of nursing homes like zombies) when fed the typical modern drug cocktails prescribed for that illness. And yet there is no letting up of drug sales and the aggressiveness with which they are pursued.

The same is happening in the overall field of psychiatry. Psychiatry has become mutated into an unabashed drug-pushing industry and little more.

Something has to give. It is up to us to re-educate others and to transform this greatest of travesties in our society.

Dad Remembered On Father’s Day

No Comments 20 June 2010

Gabriel Bross

I MISS MY FATHER’S HEAVENLY SMILE

My dad Gabriel Bross (step-dad who raised me as Nathan Bross Batalion) passed away just a little over a year ago. He died at the ripe age of 90. I miss him so terribly, and especially on this Father’s Day. He was such an indescribably incredible, simple, sweet and caring, and divinely-spirited man. Because of that, and despite never really having much materially, he acted as if he a was a king, richly endowed - and in fact he was.

CONCENTRATION CAMP HISTORY

“Angel Gabriel” to me, he stayed in a marriage for decades, even though it was bitter for him. This was because he wanted me to be brought up in a loving and caring way. He pushed to send me to private religious school. He was a lay cantor, and knew how to sing from the depths of the heart and soul. We used to play the best of cantorial music at home. His music inspired my eyebrows to turn upward to God. It inspired my daughter to become a cantor. Gabriel Bross maintained his many great and gentle traits despite having endured several concentration camps in Poland and Germany!

A WITNESS

He was a witness for the prosecution at the Nurenburg Trials, testifying against the head of Auschwitz, Rudolf Hoess. After the Nurenburg Trials, Hoess was hung at Auschwitz in 1947. My dad famously pulled Hoess’ ear as he walked down to Nuremburg Court aisles, and as a show of disrepect for the former head commandant and chief executor of the Fuhrer’s “Final Solution.”

THE HOLOCAUST REALLY HAPPENED

Hoess’ son has a Youtube apparently claiming the Holocaust slaughter of 6 million Jews never happened. I am fortunate for having gotten my dad’s direct account as well as his documented records from the Holocaust archives in Switzerland. Steven Spielberg filmed my dad and in order to preserve, for generations, a record of the horrors of the Holocaust.  Because my dad was also a shoemaker, and the German army was in need of boots to endure harsh winters, he somehow came out alive from the gates of Hell. There were several close calls within. While he survived the Nazi’s most inhumane treatment, he did not live past what I consider as unconsciously evil thrusts of our modern allopathic medical system.

TRUST AND FAITH

Gabriel Bross was such a simple man. He was totally trusting at times. He had little or no inkling just how corrupt our modern medical care delivery system tends to be - misguided by both commercialism or the profit-motive and a mechanical view of the universe and our body – or the body as if composed of separate machine parts to be surgically cut out and replaced like car parts. He was as misguided as most medical students are by the established system of education.

OPTING FOR HOSPICE

Melinda and I visited Gabriel Bross in Florida, and after some doctor-administered drugs made him temporarily psycho. We diligently put dad under hospice care. This was just a year earlier. We knew hospice could have been a far better fate. He was not required to take the morphine there and could even remain at home. Also he had a slow progressing prostate cancer that didn’t need to be operated upon. However, his medical guardian and life-long Holocaust-survivor friend thought differently. He was a follower of the same “allopathic religion” that says surgery, radiation and drugs are whatcha-need to heal. The hospital and doctors were therefore allowed to operate on him repeatedly. This was unconscionable at his age. To be blunt, a 90 year-old diabetic could not possibly endure so being knifed. Outside the profit-motive I saw no justification.

GOING BLIND

Actually for nearly half a century my dad had been a diabetic. He took his insulin daily and religiously as the doctor advised. Following this advise, he went predictably blind. We really tried to tell him otherwise, but to no avail. Taking insulin feeds a multi-billion dollar treatment industry rather than a true and honest healing of our bodies. It caters to Eli Lily’s corporate propaganda. Pharmaceutical propaganda is the most corrupt of all on our planet’s media channels. Their justifications are unscientific, just as bloodletting’s justifications were in ancient Greek and medieval times. Taking insulin for a lifetime doesn’t heal Type I or II diabetes. The claim that there are no natural cures is untrue. Thus fragile blood vessels are destroyed over time and eyesight is lost. Going blind is very symbolic of the essential fruits of a medical care system that is grounded in unconsciously blind principles.

BEYOND THE MODERN MEDICAL RELIGON

In our times, as the Robert Mendelsohn, MD’s Confessions of a Medical Heretic points out, doctors have become like priests in our culture. We trust them with out lives. Major media feed the trust, because they depend on the advertising dollars of pharmaceutical conglomerates. I tried to tell my dad a little of this, but he did not believe me. I also told him there was another way – more honest and integral. But again he couldn’t believe me. It involved too deep a cultural shock.  I was never adorned with long-flowing white hospital vestments. Nor did I wear a stethoscope (symbolic of the mechanical worldview) like a priest or nun wears a cross over his chest. Also I never hung any MD diploma on my office wall, the seal of final bestowed-upon revelation that one “knows” what one’s talking about. My dad was definitely an unquestioning old-school believer. His first caretaker was just as much. She as blindly followed the allopathic prescriptions, chemically polluting her own body’s interior until she finally died in her young 50′s.

THE IMPORTANCE OF FATHER’S DAY

Father’s Day is for me a most vital time to remember a priceless inheritance. Financially his inheritance was zilch. Spiritually it was worth more than a trillion dollars.

AND MORE

At the same time each Father’s Day reminds me that we must be both loving of and very critical of the lessons of old – of our parents and teachers. We really need entirely new worldviews.  Thousands of years ago, the very deepest of authentic spiritual traditions (Daoist, Essene, Christian, Sufi, Buddhist, etc) did not have to face head on the invention of atomic weapons or the proliferation of chemical/genetic pollution or the consciousness-pollution of the underlying math-bound, mechanical vision of nature. It takes really new-borne skills to see through so vast a cosmically-stretched deception. With that deception, we synthetically reconstruct our bodies and surrounding nature accordingly. Countless species have become extinct as a result.

NEVER AGAIN

The rally cry after the Holocaust was “Never Again.” On a new front, we should not passively follow our parents steps to creating the present non-sustainable eco-holocaustic world . No doubt my children will concur, even if in very different ways. As Bill Crosby once said: “If the new American father feels bewildered and even defeated, let him take comfort from the fact that whatever he does in any fathering situation has a fifty percent chance of being right.”

My dear dad, bless him, gave me little “clever guidance.” I could never discuss differential or integral calculus, a balance sheet or income statement, or any ivory-tower philosophical paradox. But my dad could speak to me of the truths of his heart, and that is a rare language to master. For he imparted thereby a wisdom of the soul. As a father he thus did better than most. I feel honored that he was my father in spirit.  I will continue to miss him constantly.

RE-NAVIGATING

At the same time, I know he shall remain a shining example to me in some ways but not in all ways.  We need new levels of deepest wisdom of both heart and mind united to nowadays navigate so many deceptive and treacherous eco-health minefields and “deadly mind-fields” of our times. Otherwise there may not be endless future generations to honor a Father’s Day.

SEEING THROUGH “OBJECTIVE” DRUG-TESTING SCAMS

No Comments 07 June 2010

Seeing through drug testing scams

When I look at pharmaceutical and conventional medical ads (websites, facilities, and so on) one key impression is that of  narrow mechanization and a vast stifling of consciousness! The ads often have fake models with bleached teeth, the doctor’s suits are all perfectly pressed, white and with stereotyped stethoscopes and the similar smiles – all of which is to me quite offensive or jarring. It is part of being in the commerical business of treating rather than actually and really healing.  The problems behind such stilted presentations are enormously deep. This is why I am asking the reader to also think very deeply in reading this article. Just yesterday I met someone with advanced diabetes who takes a dozen or so drugs and is subject to repeated surgeries. He is a mess and his life is a shambles because he is being guided by a medicinal system that is largely bankrupt to its root foundations. The whole house-of-cards approach is for me a unprecedented sham. It treats for profit and does not truly heal systemic ailments. Yes it helps in emergency situation but this deeps the illusion that the overall approach works for chronic systemic ailments. Modern medicine actually has no true conception of first “what is consciousness” (as diabetes is distinctly a consciousness-retreating disease marked by neuropathy or lack of feeling/sensitivity/consciousness). The drug and surgical approaches used all claims to be based on science but they are not. Why do I write about all this. It is because I very deeply care for the fate of other human beings as well as life on earth in general. Thus I try to write to explain a very different view in order to make a difference.

FALSE ROOT BASIS
Modern medicine is, at its taproots or depth foundations, based on three foolish beliefs that I know to be ultimately and utterly false. Note that, at first, they may seem like healthy or salient beliefs but I’ll explain why they really are not.

A) THE ROOT WORLDVIEWTHE MATHEMATICALIS THE TRUEST UNIVERSALLY- This is the deepest of all beliefs in our modern culture, learned at least since primary school, and namely that chemistry and physics, and their mathematical foundations, all represent the only true, most objective and scientifically valid laws of nature. Modern allopathic doctors are really what I call Newtonian “meta-physicians.”  The word “meta” comes from a Greek word meaning “after.” But the study of these disciplines actually precedes or comes before any other for modern doctors. This is why, before going to medical school, future doctors must study and excel in chemistry, physics, and perhaps biotech, to prepare them in pre-med school or for their future allopathic career based on this foundation understanding.

B) TESTING WITHIN THAT WORLDVIEW YIELDS OBJECTIVITY- Following closely behind this root metaphysical premise is the companion belief that double-blind testing, under the strictest lab conditions (using all manner of precise measurement tools – micrometers, scales, spectrometry, etc) gives us the most reliable, trustworthy, objective, illusion-free or “scientific” results in constructing the overall mathematical/mechanical orientation applied to our bodies – and to then best treat and guide patients who are ill or seeking to avoid illness.

C) LARGE SCALE TESTING  YIELDS  THE MOST “GOLD STANDARD” OBJECTIVE RESULTS – If we then do very expensive large-scale testing of the same kind, as drug companies are mandated to do by the FDA and with peer-reviews, then we can most rely on those results. We can also rely upon them to literally risk our lives and the lives of patients with that trust! That is a lot to ask, wouldn’t you say? Thus we had better be triply sure that these three premises are absolutely true!

But I will explain why, in biological rather mechanical realms (rather than in designing, building and perfecting the performance of machines), nothing could be further from the truth. What we rely upon is a sham.

DEBUNKING EACH TAPROOT BELIEF
Let me address each of the above three beliefs and why they are pervasively and deeply full of holes.

A) WHAT’S TRUE FOR MACHINES IS NOT REALLY TRUE FOR LIVING NATURE
.  First,  the math-bound view of nature excels in bringing out what is most mechanical out of nature. Already this should be a very powerful hint that the view is non-universally true and thus not integrally objective. Objectivity is something that gained via a view true from all points of view, rather than a biased or subjective or partial perspective. Machines actually don’t pre-exist in pristine nature. You will never find a bicycle in an untouched rainforest. They are uniquely man-created inventions. How then can mechanical laws represent all of nature. Something here does not click!

—- HOW THE MATHEMATICAL VIEW BREAKS DOWN
Seen nakedly and past a long-running cultural mythology,  math symbols actually, really and nakedly represent  inner tools (or symbols) that guide us in how to separate all elements of consciousness. I use the word “naked” because they truly represent nothing more than that stripped of any more imagined culturally-created importance. They are not, as Sir Isaac Newton supposed,  “what God gave us on the first day of creation to better understand nature with.” This goes counter to what every school boy and girl is indoctrinated with since primary school – the Newtonian worldview – with icon idols like Newton and Einstein supporting the genius of that vision.

—DOWN TO EARTH
And this may sound a little heady but let us bring this way, way down to earth so we can understand how hugely mistaken the “great” Newton was in developing this kernel vision about nature’s universal laws.  It sinks just a bit in when we observe how those symbols are used to separate elements of consciousness not only quite deeply but in very life-threatening ways. They are used in the creation of atom bombs (tearing things literally apart or separating). All the major formulas behind the atomic bomb relied on the schemata of Cartesian coordinates – Rene Descartes visualization of space broken down into separate points – or space exploded. Math symbols  help us also to design machines (things made most distinctly of separate parts – unlike living organisms).  Machine are not alive and not conscious – because consciousness forms a universal relationship of connection in nature, or the opposite of what math symbols bias-point to. To heal is also to connect, so the symbols in their pointing bias also most deeply point us away from what is the healing process in nature.

—HOW MATHEMATICS “WORKS”
What if we take three apples (each seen as separate fruits in our consciousness) and undo their separation? We can accomplish that by simply making applesauce! Then we can no longer count the separate apples as 1,2,3. This is simply because they are no longer distinctly separate objects in our awareness. Stripped of millions of details,  mathematics ultimately guides us towards is not much more complicated than that forms of separation.

—THE PROBLEM WITH MEASUREMENTS
Measurement thus delineates beginning and end points or measurement deepens the sense of universal consciousness-separation. Its a great schemata for designing separate chemical pills, known as drugs, used to treat separate symptoms, and tagged with a dollar sign.

—IRRATIONAL AND UNWISE
In my opinion, past deep mythologizing about the supposed transcendent truth and significance of using mathematics, we very greatly suffer under a cultural delusion, a collective consciousness ill (and since the age of Galileo, Descartes and Newton)  of a purely math-bound vision of our universe. It is actually (and this may be hugely shocking to hear) quite profoundly irrational and  unwise to so culturally connect a vision of nature by employing only the very highest, most universal, and most powerful abstractions or symbols for the separation of all elements of consciousness. It’s actually more than a bit culturally crazy – no matter how widely accepted, rooted, everywhere taught and revered that dominating view may be in our times. As mentioned a test-tube isolation used to create separate pills which further gravitates to dollar-sign tagging offers orientations that come together to support a left-brain dominant or separative consciousness bias. These are, in my experience, categorically non-objective from a whole-brain point of view. This overall results, and predictably, in non-sustainable and catastrophic postures toward the healing of our bodies, toward polluting our cells with chemicals and ultimately harming the whole of our surrounding ecology of life. All of this is not the result of an “objectively advanced” vision of nature – as presumed over the last 400 or more years. This is why I never take in any – zero – pharmaceuticals or drugs into my body.

—TESTING THE OVERALL VISION
Take any large random mix of chemicals and throw them into a compost heap – where all breakdowns of plant life create the materials for building up all plant life in a circle of unity – and you then test the overall math-hinged, superficial vision of nature. You then do not test isolated chemicals in element-isolating test tubes. Nor do you observe just their immediate impact (the surface of time) on isolated symptoms – all of which creates a biased milieu and illusionary perspective. All of this is consciousness dis-integrative as well as non-objective in the viewing of a living terrain.  Now what  happens to the compost when instead we measure the impact of synthetic chemicals as a connected whole? All life in the compost heap dies. This is due again to the overall effect of a large, random mix that tests the worldview itself!  The deadly results are not accidental. This will happen consistently and repeatedly, reliably because consciousness is rooted in the principle of connection itself in nature. Mathematics abstracts consciousness separation, the opposite disassembling orientation. This counters healing. Thus the latter, when too deeply and pervasively forced upon nature, has absolutely deadly consequences.  This is why species all around the planet are dying. The compost heap’s profound and universal circle of unity here is also categorically broken.

—TO HAUNT US
Overall the root vision of the 17th century has been in the 20th and 21st centuries coming to roost. It is now here to haunt us and to the core. Some of its fruits are pure black as this terrible “picking season” arrives. They are many death-laden and poisonous “fruits” which have been pesticide and herbicide sprayed. They are cancerous and polluting relative to a healing re-connection of our body and of nature’s ecologies. The ultimate reason is that Newton, Galileo and Descartes made naive,  fundamental and very deep vision mistakes.

B) TESTING  WITHIN THAT WORLDVIEW IS LARGELY NON-OBJECTIVE – If the root worldview is non-objective, you can expect, closely following behind, that the very same is true for its companion and supportive methodology.

—BIAS DIVING INTO AN OCEAN OF CONSCIOUSNESS TO EXPERIENCE SEPARATE SYMPTOMS
To explain this, imagine that in the experience of life there is an unrecognized (or right-brain perceived) “ocean of consciousness.” This  is a connected vista, just like an ocean or any body of water is, and relative to each separate drop of water. Now let us correlate this to the following. With our left-brain we make mental images in our mind to which we assign words. This helps us focus upon or tunnel awareness towards something. We use the word “tree,” for example, to isolate  and again separate that element of consciousness. Words of all kind will guide the dissecting  or cutting apart of this underlying ocean. The mathematical view does this to the most polar extreme. It is a penultimate “left-brain dominant symbolism.” It can thus be used to build a completely separative-eschewed view of reality – rather than an objective or whole view. The math-based vision is thus not valid view from whole-brain dominant (real objectifying) perspective. I know this personally because as a teenager I was a math prodigy until a high fever caused my left brain to shutdown – and then I was able to see through the illusion of that vision.

—HOW THIS APPLIES TO THE HEALING ARTS
Let us thus say that as we dive into the experience of our bodies and isolate a separate symptom we focus on a headache, toothache or stomach cramp. We could name  a thousand other such personal symptoms. Who initiates this chosen symptomatic focus or “separation of element of consciousness”? The subject/experiencer of the experience.  But a directional focus of a subject creates a “subjective bias.

–WHO CREATES AND DIRECTS THE SUBJECTIVE BIAS
Who creates and directs this subjective bias for a given experiment?  Who determines the specific effect of a drug on, for example,  blood pressure measured by blood pressure testing equipment rather than the amplitude of alpha waves measured via a biofeedback instruments?  The conductor or funder of the experiment determines this and sets the controlling consciousness bias. After all the given pharmaceutical company wants to make a profit in treating such symptoms as blood pressure or a headache, toothache or stomach cramp. If this experiential bias is then shared by subject and the conductor, does the sharing make the experience objective? Of course not!

—SHARING THE BIAS OR FAKING OBJECTIVITY
Do exact measurements undo this overall subjectivity? No. On the contrary, any measurement in a non-mechanical environment deepens the sense of a biased “separation of elements of consciousness!” What happens then is that whatever is focused upon, and as a given surfacing symptom to place attention upon, is the chosen “main-focus” or “effect” of the experiment. Everything else is labeled a so-called irrelevant “side-effect.” Presumably the “side-effect” is less important and therefore  listed with the tiniest of print on a pill bottle at times, or in an ad. Are the choices of what is a “main effect” and what is a “side-effect” made objective via their isolation in the structure of the experiment (reinforced by peer review)? Hardly. When there is the shared economic gain in the background, the opposite of this reinforcing objectivity is generally veritas. Or the personal subjectivity of experimenter and subject is now transferred to a wider commercial venue. Real objectivity is utterly lost.  This is why modern allopathic medicine gravitates towards isolated symptom-alleviation or treatment-based approaches and, of course, for profit. This generally fails to heal  most whole-body, deep, and systemic ailments – which takes an entirely different orientation that has to be truly not fake objective.

The root problem – to be blunt – is that both what philosophers call the “metaphysics” of our modern root worldview (the root understanding of the nature of nature’s elements) and its “epistemology” (or way of gaining knowledge about those elements) are corrupt. They or not objective, trustworthy, or reliable. They are both as deeply flawed and stilted. Thus one cannot build a reliable system of medical treatment on that foundation. It is impossible.

The results are misguided by false objectivity – and for the healing arts this has overall quite deadly and disastrous consequences.

C) GOVERNMENT-BACKED LARGE SCALE TESTING OF THIS KIND DECEIVES THE PUBLIC

—IMPACT OF POLITICAL FORCES
The very deeply false sense for getting objective knowledge gains further force when backed by the authority of political forces. These might try to outlaw anything which does not conform to this overall deception. Lobbying with campaign contributions biases the consciousness of the politicians. Paid media also tend to come on the bandwagon. Pharmaceutical sales were greatly spurred on by TV and print ads since the 1950′s. Combine all of the foregoing and you see why our modern medical system has to so systemically  and completely in a shambles – why it fail to truly heal cancer, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, asthma, mental illness, and Alzheimer’s and so on.

The  marriage of commercial and lab deceptions are so pervasive and systemic it allows for little else.

—WHAT IS ILLUSION AND DECEPTION
Illusion is the “breakdown of the integrity of consciousness.” Deception is the “intentional breakdown of the integrity of consciousness.” An integrity of consciousness means consciousness is true to itself.  But consciousness, at the core of life (as I have tried to propose) forms “the principle of connection itself in nature.” Thus one absolutely cannot have an integral vision of nature rooted in the highest abstractions of what tears our consciousness apart. The mathematical worldview will expertly build machines. But it also makes an intimate marriage with dollar sign to almost irretrievably corrupt consciousness – and to the absolute hilt.

—REGAINING OBJECTIVITY
The healing of our consciousness and the healing of our body are intertwined. Making a deep and healing global mind change, we move from this a left-brain to a right-brain-dominant or from a separative to a connective view of nature. What is connective is again healing. We ultimately are redirected to look at whole impacts ( not the partial or biased or culturally subjective orientations). This gives us a chance to rescue ourselves or to regain objectivity. Only to look at the whole is to become objective and to offer true, reliable healing solutions.

OVERCOMING AND CURING CYSTIC FIBROSIS

Gerson Green Healing Juices

THE STORY OF FAYE CHIPPERFIELD
Faye Chipperfield came to the Gerson Therapy hospital at the age of 14 suffering from CF or cystic fibrosis. CF is a genetically-triggered disorder that causes, among other things, excess mucus to clog the lungs and other vital passageways. Such congestion creates a feeding ground for infections. The usual response is a constant treatment with antibiotics. Cystic Fibrosis is said to be incurable. That label is typically proposed when conventional medicine fails to heal and/or assume responsibility for such failures.

REVISION OF THE ORIGINAL BLOG POST
Several readers of this blog have been up in arms about such statements about CF being potentially curable. Thus I have added a more detail to clarify this. I also pointed out in a prior posted blog that CF definitely involves a set of defective genes from both parents. See Cystic Fibrosis – Can It Be Reversed? Some readers tried to say that I had poorly research this issue in saying  “CF is only “supposedly genetic” and was therefore posting misinformation. Rather the question remains is the essence of what we are dealing with a fixed and permanent genetic defect. In other words, is this permanently indelible or something that the healing powers of the body can or cannot overcome and repair once genetically triggered. So I am here adding a reference to an important discussion of the gene theory http://bit.ly/Mendel- and therein what is deterministic (cannot be reversed or cured) and what is not so. Certainly genes can help determine whether something in a seed grows to become a potato or a carrot or an apple tree. But other factors, lifetime care and surroundings, also come into play whether such living forms are whole and healthy or subject to disease and rot. The same can be true for our lives.

THE  SCARY PART
When a person has an illness as deep-seated,  frightening and mysterious as CF , and triggered by hidden genes that we can’t see, feel or touch, we naturally rely immensely on the wisdom, science and knowledge of professionals to help us overcome or at least deal as best with the condition. The advise of MD doctors is thus far more than a deepest emotional security. It is a patient’s most important lifeline to life. Any serious critique of the doctor’s approach will appear threatening. But we have to come to grips with a larger  fact. The modern view of healing our bodies is substantially failing on a societal level – with many chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, arthritis, arteriosclerosis on the rise and not being healed. Would a successful healthcare system be discreasing our health costs or near bankrupting our economy? Knowledge is not the same as wisdom (knowing rather what knowledge to know as being vital).

STEPPING OUTSIDE
When stepping outside the allopathic medical paradigms (rooted in the 17th century’s vision) we do see real and dramatic reversals of many major chronic ailments. This is because the life forces in the body are fed, nurtured and elicited or brought out – and not the principles of machines or what is mechanical. Doctors rarely understand how a life-force eliciting therapy works because it violates their root paradigms about pharmacology and genetics. They may call it a fluke or impossible and try to debunk any apparent turnaround as a spontaneous remission. Bringing out living forces is really an entirely different kind of medical science. I outline this in this blog and in other writings - using living foods, periodic detoxifcations, meditation and excise in lieu of drugs, surgery, radiation and genetic engineering.  The rare scourge of cystic fibrosis is no exception. This is because the deeper laws of nature may be considered the more universal and deeper digging.  Thus imagine that genes or gentic expression can potentially be repaired, in part or full, by such an approach. Here I have just dug up Faye’s single case as an example of many.

ILL AFTER A SERIES OF VACCINATIONS
In the case of Faye, the child appeared normal at birth but at age six months was given a series of vaccinations for mumps, measles and rubella. After this treatment, she developed an infection that she could not overcome. The diagnosis then was cystic fibrosis. Kept on an extended regime of antibiotics, she also began to have pain and breathing difficulties and was not growing normally as is typical for cystic fibrosis sufferers.

LIFE EXPECTANCY
For the record, life expectancy of a CF patient has risen over the past four decades. It has shown considerable progress. Currently it is somewhere between 35-38 years of age, according to different sources. Before digging into several statistical sources, I  posted 20 years (copying an older article).  On further research I discovered the average life-expectancy was even lower in the 1980′s.  Fortunately now we see the median life expectancy is about 32 years for newborns. For those children who survive infancy, average life expectancy is higher, closer to 40 years. Lastly, with adequate pancreatic function it can exceed 50 years.  So there is significant cause for hope in terms of life-extension. But another question remains. Can we do still much better by repairing the genetic defect more deeply? Can we actually cure this ailment as such,  extending not only the number of years but the ultimate quality of life?

MOTHER AND CHILD’S CONDITIONS BOTH REVERSED
Getting back to our story, with the Gerson Therapy and using intense living food vegetable and fruit juices, Faye’s infections came under control. Her breathing normalized, and her chest pains went away. When the child returned home she went off the Gerson Therapy and some symptoms came back. Ignoring the dire warnings of her Australian physicians, the young girl and her mother braved a long flight and return to the Gerson Mexico clinic where again her condition improved. Her mother’s chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) cleared up as well.  As is common with CF patients, Faye was advised she probably could never have children. On the contrary she had a a beautiful, normal and healthy baby.

Some years ago I helped fund the establishment of a Gerson therapy center in Sedona Arizona. We had patients there who reversed many diverse chronic illnesses. Among them was a young chiropractor from Oneonta, NY. He had Stage VI Melanoma, generally incurable, which was reversed. For more information on how I became involved with the Gerson Therapy see www.raw-wisdom.com/bio. Also see the blog post Cystic Fibrosis – Can It Be Reversed?

Cystic Fibrosis -

Can It Be Reversed?

WHAT IS CYSTIC FIBROSIS

(Healingtalks) Cystic fibrosis is said to be an hereditary disease that mostly affects the clogging of the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts. It is often thought to be progressive, resulting in increasing disability and early death. The term refers to scarring and cyst formation (such as in the pancreas) and which was first recognized as a distinct ailment in 1930. The most pronounced symptom are the obstruction of  body channels. The results include difficulty in breathing and frequent lung and sinus infections – along with poor growth, diarrhea, and infertility.  The overall cause is presumably a mutation of the gene CFTR or cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator. The gene is linked to the regulation of sweat, digestive juices, and mucus. It is known as an autosomal recessive disease as it develops when two paired genes from both parents are not working normally.

PREVALENCE  OR RARITY OF CF

About 1 in 3,000 white births, 1 in 15,000 black births, and 1 in 32,000 Asian births exhibit this disease. Approximately 30,000 Americans have cystic fibrosis. This makes it one of the most common, life-shortening diseases. CF patients progressively worsen and die at a young age. Sometimes they receive lung transplants to try to lengthen their life span. As with  most chronic and systemic ailments, allopathic medicine states that it sees no cure for cystic fibrosis. The only conventional prognosis then is for life-long treatment.

TESTING FOR CF

A simple saliva test can determine the presence of cystic fibrosis, as can genetic testing.  Newborns can be screened via  a blood test (looking for concentrations of immunoreactive trypsinogen) though it can provide a false positive so that this has to be confirmed via a sweat test. Parents can also undergo prenatal testing.

CF SYMPTOMS

Cystic Fibrosis symptoms include salty tasting skin (high levels of sweat electrolytes), sticky mucous, poor ability to gain height or weight, despite a normal diet.  Bowel obstructions may occur as well as chronic coughing, gagging, vomiting and/or shortness of breath due to clogging of the airways.  Clogging of the pancreas results in poor digestion or malabsorption. Damage of the pancreas can also lead to diabetes.  At least 97% of men with cystic fibrosis are infertile but not sterile – or can have children via assisted means.

A RUTHLESS DISEASE

Needless to say, cystic fibrosis is a ruthless disease, and we can find more details about its conventional writeups such as that of Wikepedia. Here we move on to the main question.

IS CF AN INCUREABLE DISEASE?

First it is important to know that what in allopathic medical lore is called a disease symptom is often the result of our bodies trying to rid themselves of toxins. This includes the formation of mucous which, as David Wolfe points out in the SunfoodDiet, both buffers sensitive organs and transports acids and chemical poisons out of the body. This is why we cough and sneeze.  Fevers which are triggered by infections do the same. They try to help the body rid itself of what is harmful.  If we treat such “diseased conditions” via suppressive means,  as is common in conventional modern medicine, we may be thwarting the core of a healing process – and thus causing a progressive degeneration that ultimately must lead to death. And so we may give the patient powerful antibiotics to suppress fevers and abnormally high protein diets, which are generally acid-forming and thus mucus generating!  Indeed then cystic fibrosis becomes an incurable disease that is life-threatening.

GENE-THEORY

The original gene theory was the result of Gregory Mendel’s attempt to understand any  transfer of features from parent to offspring via some atomic-like, thus mechanical, statistical or math-bound view. Life’s generational adventures were forced to fit the overall mechanical model of Newton’s universe. What this ignores is that life and consciousness do not fit that model. Life and consciousness are at the core of our being and not the principles of a machine.

CONSCIOUSNESS

Because consciousness is the relationship of connection itself in nature and healing also is a form of reconnection, the enhancement of consciousness results in depth and integral healing. This is something largely unknown in modern medicine. Thus to say that genes maintain a life-long fixed and predetermined disease path is essentially expressive of the same mechanistic/machine-like view of our bodies. This fits the needs of a commercial, price-tagging culture.  The problem is when one is stuck in a mechanical view, there is no deep understanding of how to elicit again life’s consciousness/healing forces. Then the mechanical view (including the  chemical, math-designed) becomes dominant and prophetically self-determinative.  The illness follows its mechanical course – as expected – downhill.  To change that downward course we need to break out of the whole and entire mechanical mindset.

EXAMPLE OF A DOWNHILL PATH

Let me illustrate this with an example highlighted in an essay by my friend Arnold, of Arnold’s Way.  It is the story of a little boy by the name of Thomas Paul Parson, Jr. He was born in 1997 and diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at the age of 4 months. He soon had weight loss which brought his weight down to 7 lbs. As his mucous thickened and would not drain, he was treated with nine chemical medications for nearly half a year.  He was given extra protein and calories as that is the normal. The overload creates yet more mucous – especially when dairy products are involved. The body starts to cough more, being further abused. Fevers and more skin sweat excretions occur as the body struggles nobly to offset the treatment.  Thomas Paul was bombarded by the best of conventional know-how for a year and a half  and with no signs of improvement. He constantly had pneumonia bouts. He was fed intravenously with a tube surgically installed, and  to the point of his small veins collapsing.

REVERSING CF DIRECTIONS

Then at 22 months of age his parents decided to switch gears. They took their child off the medications and replaced them with a diet of raw and living fruits and vegetables. The transformation and reversal was immediate.  As the diet changed, so did the symptoms. The pneumonia bouts stopped, the shortness of breath, the coughs, the thick mucous excretions.  The X-rays showed the lung tissue scars, a gross manifestation of cystic fibrosis, were gone.  Thomas Paul is now growing up normally.

PAST DEPTH-ILLUSIONS

We have written over and over again that modern medicine has its epistemological and ontological roots – its knowledge gaining and physical foundations – in the essential illusion process of human consciousness. What is illusion? It is the breakdown in the integrity of consciousness. What is consciousness? The principle of connection itself in nature. How does modern medicine organize its consciousness overall? Via the study of chemistry, physics, and genetics or the math-based view of nature – the mechanical. What is mathematics? The highest organizing abstractions for the separation of all elements of consciousness. This designs what is mechanical - creating machines made of separate parts. In living  and healing domains, however, those symbols  work to disintegrate the connective essence of consciousness. Why? Because again consciousness’ essential essence is universally connectivity, and what math symbols point to is universally separative – disintegrating phenomenon. This helps build machines made of separate parts that are neither conscious nor alive. It is thus a mistake to view the physical body as a machine. This extends to the gene theory which is also a mechanical view of our inherent essence.

IN PRACTICAL TERMS

Most physicians are not really callous, malicious or deceitful. They, themselves, tend to believe in what they practice as being the best. They have little clue about alternatives and how they might work differently. With a large percentage of medical educational being funded by pharmaceutical giants, modern physcians turn out to be mis-educated in the natural healing arts.

STOPPED LISTING

The so-called miracle of Thomas Paul’s reversal is actually routine among the rare patients who turn to natural healing arts that involve the re-establishing of a higher level of life force in the body.  It occurred in this case because his parents stopped listening to, as Arnold writes, phrases like  ”closely monitored in taking of drugs,” “getting the best of individualized care” or “following the lastest pharmaceutical studies that have shown clearly that…” and so on and so forth - the typical authority-generating, mumbo-jumbo fooling jargon. Thomas Paul’s parents had the strength and courage to spiritually break out of this modern madness.

ANOTHER EXAMPLE

It was 24years ago that Denley Fowlke had two beautiful twin daughers who were fed the Standard American Diet  (SAD). When they appeared ill, he allowed doctors to give them antibiotics but this failed to help them with their frequent infections. His daughters started to also lose weight. After being diagnosed with cystic fibrosis they were given more drugs.  Screening and diagnosis is modern medicine’s gateway to pharmaceutical sales. Since the drugs weren’t working, the doctors suggested sending his daughters to the University of Utah for still more intense drug therapy. Denley, after some deep thought and prayers, gathered the intense inner strength needed to resist such culturally dominant advise. A friend suggested he should speak to a lay and alternative healer. He went to her, and her words which ringed in his mind for years were “you do what I say and you will never have these babies back in the hospital.”

ALTERNATIVES THERAPIES FOR CF

So Denley returned home to clear his kitchen cupboards of all SAD processed foods and began to buy just fresh fruits and vegetables. The girls took two mineral baths each day for two hours. The result was a deep detoxification from precisely the drug therapies meant for  ”disease maintenance.” This then allowed a true healing to begin. If an intense healing crisis or fever started to manifest, fresh potato juices rather than antibiotics was used. The symptoms were not treated as a disease to suppress. They were rather seen as a sign of immense hope and encouragement . The body was trying and  now able to reverse the condition.  Over time the two girls developed rashes, again a great healing sign as the body was ready to release poisons. Over more time the traditional symptoms of cystic fibrosis subsided and disappeared.

MOVING OUT OF AN AGE OF DARKNESS

We live in an age of immense spiritual and health practice darkness but with growing signs of light and hope. Some cannot see through the thick brambles of modern illusions. As the breakdown of consciousness integrity occurs, so also the consequences include a parallel breakdown of our body’s health. But this is a learning adventure for those willing to learn what nature teaches us. Thus the  reverse is also true. As the clouds within begin to clear, we start to see more light and travel ever more steadily on a path to integral wholeness and healing.

GREATEST MYTHS OF MODERN HEALTHCARE

No Comments 23 April 2010

Greatest-myths-of-modern-healthcare

Greatest Myths Of Modern Healthcare

DRUGS HEAL
Synthetic drugs are chemical concoctions that are math-designed. Mathematics abstracts how to separate all elements of consciousness. Healing, however, is a process of connection and reconnection. Consciousness is the principle of connection  itself in nature, underlying all of healing. Thus synthetic drugs, by their very nature, cannot heal. They can only modulate or relieve or alter symptoms.  Taking a dozen or so top chemical drugs will almost invariably make a healthy person sick. This is just like putting multiple chemicals, to test the whole underlying order,  in a compost heap. It will kill all of life therein. In other words, there is a reason why chemical drugs oppose consciousness and life. It is something that isolated chemical tests (for which billions are spent)will never discover. Thus isolated chemical tests, with government support, are used to fool us.

SURGERY HEALS
Again healing is always the process of connection and reconnect. Surgery cuts the body apart. It converts a living organism into the equivalent of a machine made of separate parts.  If there is an ill tumor, surgery can cut the tumor out. But this process is only a double negative which produces a superficial positive.  At the same time, surgery risks permanent harm or a destruction of the body as a whole. It is again a treatment and not any fundamentally healing modality. Several surveys showed that when surgeons went on strike, the local death rate plummeted.

RADIATION HEALS
This myth follows similar misconceptions. It works on another double negative principle. Often later in life it is implicated in getting cancer and further degenerative ailments.

HEALTH IS A MATTER OF LUCK OR GENES
The truth is that health is primarily a matter of lifestyle or living more in harmony with our nature. Screening requires no changes in one’s lifestyle as a primary focus. It looks after the fact to determine whether you are lucky or not to be ill with a given lifestyle.

SCREENING IS VITAL FOR PREVENTION
The truth is that real prevention destroys treatment profits. Screening, however, is the gateway for treatments profits. The math is so simple.

DOCTORS’ INTERVENTION PRODUCES HEALING
Once you are screened for having a treatable illness, then the doctor comes to the rescue to “restore you luck.” Drug companies, surgeons and radiologists sworm in. It is pretty much of a vast vulture scam if there ever was such a thing in all of modern life.

HOSPITALS ARE FOR RESTORING HEALTH
With the exception of emergency clinics, hospitals commonly push upon (market) invasive procedures and screenings to best stay in business. I remember being told by a doctor that I must have an operation. If I didn’t, he would see me in the morgue in a month! Fortunately I had a very clear sense, even though I was running a 102 degree fever, that if I had the recommended operation, I would be seriously crippled and disabled for the rest of my life. Fear mongering is common and primary marketing ploy when big dollars are at stake. The tactic is accepted on the premise that the hospital doctor is somewhat above the law, as a most lofty expert in “healthcare” rather than being a salaried person helping to treat diseases for profit.

MODERN MEDICINE IS ADVANCED
If advancement were measured by computerized screening equipment, it certainly will appear that modern medicine is advanced. This is true for those who want to be hugely fooled. If measured by integral or real results it is much the opposite. What we call modern medicine is not worthy of being called primitive. The primitive healing arts were often advanced. Modern medicine is commonly harmful. To find integral cures and honest research toward cures one has to step outside this whole mythology-creating world of white coats with stethoscopes who employ CT scans.

BLANK STARES: ALZHEIMER’S DRUGS THAT CAUSE BRAIN DAMAGE

So Many Blank Stares:
Failure of Alzheimer’s Drugs

GOING DOWN A FAULTY PATH
For years I have been writing about the impossibility of developing chemical drugs for reversing Alzheimer’s no matter how much is spent on research to cash in on a multi-billion dollar market. The chief reason is that a) Alzheimer’s is actually a consciousness disease, and where  b) consciousness is the depth principle of connection itself in nature which derivatively allows our  brains to make connections including memory and face recognition connections, and (c) or lastly where synthetic drugs are designed using the polar opposite principles in nature.  As a result, no amount of research into their use will yield positive results, that has been my claim. The evidence is already all around us. The more chemical cocktails we give to Alzheimer’s patients, the more they walk nursing home halls like zombies – with blank staring and dejected eyes  The great tragedy is that we turn so trustingly to allopathic doctors for help on the premise that they know more, have deeper insight or ultimately have a higher level of consciousness to aide those who have slipped or  fallen so to speak in their consciousness. In truth, that kind of knowledge of how consciousness works is virtually absent in modern science.

ONE CONFIRMING STUDY
Recently the University of San Diego released a study which was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. It showed that nonamyloidogenic peptides formed by drugs to help AD patients and which are being tested for various Alzheimer’s treatments actually  killed and destroyed the very neurons needed for memory.

SIGNS MAINSTREAM MEDICINE IS FAILING TO HEAL US

Signs Mainstream Medicine Is Failing To Heal Us

In our culture, nowadays, we have been increasingly treating what are growing health pandemics. We can count among these diabetes, arthritis, cancer, obesity, heart disease, various forms of mental illness, autism, kidney and skin disorders, and so on.

Paying More And Getting Less
Americans pay more for health care than almost any other nation on the planet and the percentage of GNP spent on healthcare costs keeps rising.  Then why are we also among the sickest nations? A recent article by Naturalnews says that “It’s an indictment of the mainstream medical system that’s been running a monopoly medical racket in America for roughly the last hundred years…[and] has taken a nation that was once relatively healthy and turned it into a disease dystopia where patients are actually taught that nutrition doesn’t work and that they must submit to patented chemicals in order to be “normal” or healthy. The article cited ten signs of the failure of so-called mainstream medicine:

- Scientific Fraud With Drug Experiments
If mainstream goodies really worked, why are fraudulent trials perpetually uncovered?

- Censoring and Outlawing Natural Remedies
If drug companies goodies really worked, they wouldn’t have to fear and suppress competition

- Paying More For Health and Related Health Insurance Costs
If modern medicine really worked, health care costs and health insurance premiums would be falling, not soaring.

- Failing to Set A Global Example
If modern mainstream medicine really worked, we would not be failing to set a global example.  The results, given the costs, are a disgrace.

- Drug Companies and Doctors Thriving
When drug companies and doctors thrive, amid a worst recession,  it’s a sign few are getting healed and many are treated.

- Kickbacks
If  modern medicine really worked, drug companies would not be giving kickbacks to nursing homes to push more drugs.

- Among Largest TV/Print Advertisers
If modern medicine really worked, pharmaceutical companies would not have to resort to manipulative advertising bits, with fake- looking models trying to convince people they need drugs that are unnatural, and that also highlight isolated symptom relief while diverting attention from the  whole. Healing is about becoming whole so nothing could be worse. Calling a spade a spade, this can simply be termed: systematic and systemic mass deception.

- Forcing Medications And Imprisonment On Disbelievers
If conventional medicine really worked, it would not be necessary to legally enforce chemotherapy upon teenagers and threaten arrest and imprisonment of parents. Everyone would instead be lining up for this counter-intuitive treatment. Chemicals cause cancer.

- It Doesn’t Work
The blatant truth, and for very deep reasons, is that, except emergencies, allopathic medicine doesn’t work – looking past the authority-building white coats, stethoscopes and diplomas on the walls. Healing is connection and reconnection to wholeness. Thus cutting the body apart (via surgery) is the opposite of a healing modality except in double-negative uses – cutting out what is not healing. But a double-negative is never a deep positive.  Chemical drugs also are artificially math-designed. Mathematics abstracts separation, not connection. Thus drugs are symptom modulators and by their very nature cannot heal!  Let me repeat that. Synthetic, math-designed drugs, by their very nature, cannot heal. If you want to test the overall mathematical order in nature (the only objective stance is to test the whole not parts in isolation) try throwing a large random mix of chemicals in a compost heap. all life therein dies. It does not heal!

- To Push What Makes Healthy People Sick
Yes they can help in certain emergencies but with chronic, systemic ailments they further undermine health by their very nature. The unwary find this out after its too late, with rarely any legal appeal rights or compensation for the harm. To push what makes healthy people sick upon those who are ill is ultimately unconscionable – but self-deception in the medical field is the norm as is a disguised  practicing so-called “objective science” based on fraudulent mechanical principles, and which  turns sickness into profits rather than ill patients into cured and whole human beings.

CT SCANS FOUND TO CAUSE CANCER

CT Scans Found To Cause Cancer

OVERVIEW  – DO CT SCANS REALLY CAUSE CANCER?
Two research studies published in the December 15 issue of Archives of Internal Medicine brought to light an evaluation of CT scans and how they deliver more radiation than previously thought. Scans may actually be responsible for nearly 30,000 cancers each year and 14500 deaths. This is the equivalent of the harm of several Twin Towers attacks.

DETAILS
One study, led by prestigious researchers from the National Cancer Institute, examined 1119 patients at four San Francisco hospitals and estimated the number of cancers caused. They found patients exposed to up to 4x as much radiation as previously assumed. It was the equivalent of 74x as much radiation as emitted by a mammogram or 442 chest X-rays. Young people are most at risk and among 20 year old women undergoing CT scans, 1 out of 150 will develop cancer.

MOSTLY UNNECESSARY
Some radiologist may be up in arms over these findings but Dr. Rita Redberg of the University of California at San Francisco wrote that “up to 1/3rd of CT scans are unnecessary.”

In my opinion, most are unnecessary since they only give a surface or superficial view and no real depth insight into the etiology of what brings about systemic diseased conditions. Looking at surface appearances is like looking at illusions. Contrary to belief, examining such scans in order to develop chronic-disease-treatment protocols  is not an advanced science.  Not everything is really what “meets the eye on the surface.” Unfortunately doctors are not taught a real and advanced science of conscious, borrowing instead from the mechanical philosophy of nature of the 17th century – the math-based, which poorly guides consciousness. If that were understood,  all of modern medicine would change.

GOOD AND THE BAD
Modern medicine is actually to be commended and admired for its advanced emergency treatments, especially some mechanical fixes like high-tech mending of broken bones. This, however, feeds an illusion that modern medicine is also good at treating other health conditions – the systemic and chronic. It is not.  That is why we have uncontrolled or not-reigned-in health pandemics like cancer, diabetes, heart disease and Alzheimer’s.

REVOLUTION IN THOUGHT
What we thus need is a deep revolution in thought, moving away from the 17th century’s  mechanical vision of nature that underlies how doctors view the whole of our bodies and treat virtually all systemic disease conditions.
