Signs of Gray Hair
(Healingtalks) Gray hair may be a sign of distinction to some but for most it is a sign of growing older or aging. One way of dealing with unwanted gray hair is subjecting it to dyes, naatural and chemical. For me, when I tried the latter, it did some skin damage. Thus I started to research into alternative ways of reversing gray hair naturally.
An ancient Chinese remedy
What I found is, in the process of going through herbal training to become an OMD, is that the Chinese have ancient approach that is thousands of years old. They commonly use an herb called He Shou Wu (meaning black haired Mr in Chinese) and is also known as Fo Ti. The names comes from a story of an old man who took this herb and restored his hair color. He Shou Wu has general anti-aging properties including regeneration of hair growth – sometimes being able to grow new pigmented hair. Animal and human studies support this. What is the modus operandi or how does this come about?
How gray hair comes about
Hair color is produced by very small hair pigment cells in the follicles called melanocytes. Melanocytes create melanin to give us hair colors. The degree to which we have this melanin produced, the deeper or richer the color becomes. As we age, melanin stops making color pigments. Internally the body accumulates too much hydrogen peroxide which bleaches or interferes with this color pigment production. One way we get rid of an excess hydrogen peroxide load is via an enzyme called catalase. As the production of this catalase goes down, hair turns gray.
How he shou wu works
In Chinese medicine it is said Hue Shou Wu nourishes the liver and kidneys which in turn nourishes our blood stream. In western medicine we know that SOD or Superoxide Dismutase present in our cells is working against aging damage as a free-radical scavenger and SOD levels are raised by taking He Shou Wu. He Shou Wu apparently works on the kidneys and liver to stimulate the quality of blood circulation to the scalp. This in turn nourishes the hair follicles allowing them to produce more melanin.
Quality of he shou wu
If you are going to try this remedy, make sure you have a high quality source. He Shou Wu must be grown for at least 4 years for the best healing results. In has many forms. The original tuber may be sliced or made into powder, capsule and tincture forms.

I want to get rid of my gray hair. But sometimes it is not good to experiment with other chemicals unknown to your hair. I experiment with popular brand but my hair is thinning. It’s bad maybe it’s better to look for other natural products.
I am wanting lately to get one particular good quality anti wrinkle lotion but it appears right now there is nothing at all that could possibly cure my skin. In case someone really identify certain remedy that might make magic simply make me aware and so For certain I will be grateful for it.
