REVERSING MALE INFERTILITY NATURALLY
A University of Illinois study showed that using omega-3 fatty acids can aid men to become fertile fathers. This is because an omega-3 fatty acids found in vegetable oils (especially canola and soy) and breast milk, known as DHA, can enhance male fertility or help correct low sperm counts and misformed sperm cells. Experiments were performed on mice. In the absence of DHA male mice were infertile and had abnormal sperm cells. When the mice were fed DHA, dramatic changes took place. Sperm counts became normal and fertility was restored. Previous studies also showed that patients with male infertility had low sperm counts along with slow moving sperm and low levels of DHA.
OTHER FINDINGS ABOUT OMEGA-3 FATTY ACIDS
DHA is known to be important for the development of our nervous system, cognitive abilities of the brain of infants, and for controlling depression, blindness as well as preventing prostrate cancer.
BEST SOURCES OF OMEGA-3
Among the best vegan sources of omega-3 fatty acids are flax seeds, hemp seeds, rapeseeds and walnuts. Krill fish are best known as animal sources of 0mega-3s.
