In the late 50’s Anne founded the Hippocrates Health Institute, which has been the longest running natural health retreat in the US. How to Use A Wheatgrass Shot
If it is your first time drinking wheatgrass, you should start slow. You might want to use a ½ ounce or 1 ounce of wheatgrass juice at the start. Drink slowly and chew the juice to add your saliva’s digestive enzymes. Drink within 15 minutes of making. In general, green spouts have about 20 times the nutrition of ordinary or adult green foods, and the grasses even more because they, in their simplicity, offer an heirloom heritage as the grandfathers and grandmothers of all plants. Wheatgrass is called the perfect food because it is so complete in its nutrition that one can live on that food alone.
So build up your intake of wheatgrass, as soon as you can, to 2 ounces at a time. It is best to drink on an empty stomach, especially in the morning after exercise to achieve optimal absorption. If you are growing it, harvest the entire crop at the end of approximately 9 days and before the wheat blade joints or grows a second blade at the bottom. It then starts to lose some of its high nutrition to grow that second blade and becomes more of an adult plant.

If you want to be optimally healthy, repeat this or drink two more ounces in the afternoon. You could rotate your wheatgrass intake. Drink wheatgrass for 3 weeks per the plan above and then do not drink it for 1 week and repeat this cycle. If a person has a serious health challenge, like cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, it is also recommended that wheatgrass juice be used in the form of implants, this time 4 ounces twice a day during the intensive detox. This is best to do right after a colonic or enema. There is a cardiovascular link, more specifically the hemorrhoidal vein, which runs from the rectum to the liver.
