Raw Milk Under Attack Precisely Because

It Is Safer and Healthier Than Pasteurized

(Healingtalks) Thanks to a survey performed by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) we now have sufficient data to evaluate raw milk’s safety, and it turns out it’s safer than most any other food!

In a talk given at the International Raw Milk Symposium, Dr. Ted Beals outlined the history of the pasteurization scam. This was justified by an industry desperately in need of pasteurization for its economic survival. The proposed health hazards of raw milk were fabricated to support pasteurization. [i] Dr. Ted Beals also examined a compilation of published reports on illnesses attributed to raw milk from 1999 to 2010. These illnesses averaged 42 per year. The CDC’s survey showed that 3.04 percent of the population consumed raw milk or 9.4 million people, and this translates into raw milk-attributed illnesses being more than rare. According to Sally Fallon Morell of the Weston A. Price Foundation, Dr. Beals has shown you are about 35,000 times more likely to get sick from other foods than you are from raw milk.[ii]

Why then did the CDC, FDA, Department of Agriculture hire guns this year to confiscate raw milk products and arrest and jail proprietors of Rawsome, a California raw organic buying club? Also earlier this year a raw-milk buying club in Kentucky had its products quarantined by local officials. [iii] Additionally an armed pre-dawn raid was conducted against an Amish farmer in PA whose crime was the selling of raw milk. [iv] So there is a consistent national pattern. Why again do we see such intense efforts to criminalize raw food sellers?

 True Problem With Raw Milk

According to findings of Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the average shelf-life of pasteurized milk held under proper refrigeration – defined as less than 45 degrees F – is 12-16 days.

Like raw vegetable juices, raw milk stays fresh for either just a handful of days or as long as a couple of weeks.[vi] This shelf-life uncertainty spells economic disaster for any large dairy operation that culls milk from diverse local dairies. Pasteurization nullifies this differential by creating a more uniform and profitable end product. Freezing will keep milk fresh for a month. However, the flavor and texture will change, so this is not a viable option. [vii]

Why Only Raw Milk Was Targeted By Combined Federal Agencies.

Why aren’t government agencies also coming together to ban raw meat, fish or eggs? Raw eggs can stay fresh for roughly 3-10 weeks. [viii] Meat can stay fresh in a freezer for 1-2 months and fish for up to 6 months! But unpasteurized milk can sour in as little as a few days (barely enough time to profitably transport at a distance and to stock shelves). If consumers found out the truth – that the real reason for pasteurization had nothing to do with health or safety advantages (and actually denatures milk to form an inferior product), it would spell economic disaster for large corporate dairies. How to resolve this threat? The industry worked to convince the public that raw milk alternatives were scientifically unhealthy and unsafe to drink! The best way to accomplish this public deceit was to engage corruptible scientists and government officials to pronounce the age-old drinking of raw milk to be somehow dangerous. Is there a final follow up step? It is to criminalize and eliminate the competition by governmental force.

(Healingtalks) The proprietors at Rawesom Foods in California were recently arrested for the sale of raw milk and charged with multiple felonies (in a new development in America, the land of the free and the home of the brave). In some states you can get life in prison for three felonies. These charges were lodged even though raw milk is actually and really safer and healthier to drink than pasteurized milk.

To say otherwise is part of a huge government scam that has been going on for decades to protect large dairy operations, concerns that rely on pasteurization for extended shelf life. However, they produce an inferior product through high-heat denaturing of milk proteins. In the past the industry has just lied to the public and suppress raw milk sales.

Now they are trying to criminalize the competition. Welcome to the new food police state!

The Rawesome Foods raid that took place August 3, 2011, is being publicly described by many as an act of “government terrorism” against innocents. And yet there has been very little information published about the names of the government instigators who masterminded these armed raids and oversaw the pillaging of Rawesome Foods and the destruction of tens of thousands of dollars worth of food.

Today, NaturalNews is publishing the names of five government agents who masterminded this raid and / or took part in the raid. This is all part of a campaign to protest these acts of government tyranny by sending emails, making phone calls, sending letters and otherwise making it very clear to these agents that We the People will not tolerate this kind of treatment.

Why these individuals represent truly BAD government

Here are the top government agents involved in this raid. It’s also worth noting that most of them have been waging a long-term WAR against raw milk over the past several years. Many of these government agents are the very same people responsible for campaigns of threats and intimidation against other raw dairy operations, both in California and around the country.

These people, in my opinion, represent the worst of runaway Big Government. They perfectly depict how government becomes an institution of evil that destroys private property, disrupts important resources in the food supply, denies infants and children important nutrition (raw goat’s milk) and operates with extreme arrogance as if they are untouchable.

Your job is the help remind these people that we know who they are, and we’re going to be keeping an eye on them from this point forward to make sure that they respect their role as servants of the People, not rulers over them.

It is crucial that government workers realize that when they are granted power by the People, they must exercise that power with discretion with the intention of serving the People, not conducting their own personal vendettas against individuals or small businesses they don’t like.

It is apropos to add the following, based on an article that Dr. Bill posted a few years ago, when this issue was first brewing, and that now becomes  ever more urgently something to address: There is an old saying, “Follow the money.” Big Pharma develops drugs to supposedly fight disease  and then sell it via doctors to consumers. But consumers are finding that readily available vitamins, minerals, herbs, and supplements are often just as effective (if not MORE so) as the drugs, but without harmful side effects. Wouldn’t it then make sense for lobbyists to push to regulate away these readily available, natural supplements to protect their Big Pharma constituents? Yes.

And therein lies the problem. Right now, we have the choice to use supplements and herbs, if we choose to… so, in steps the FDA to take away that choice!

When it comes to health freedom, this is the FDA’s end game.

A new FDA ‘guidance’ document, published on the FDA’s website, reveals plans to reclassify virtually all vitamins, supplements, herbs and even vegetable juices as FDA-regulated drugs.

Massage oils and massage rocks will be classified as “medical devices” and require FDA approval.

The document is called Docket No. 2006D-0480. Draft Guidance for Industry on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Products and Their Regulation by the Food and Drug Administration.

The FDA is accepting public comments on the docket. They tried to sneak this under the radar, but word got out and now the natural health community is up in arms over this rule. If you wish to protect your access to nutritional supplements, herbs, essential oils, homeopathic medicine or any other ‘complementary’ or ‘alternative’ modality, it is crucial that you take action to post your comments with the FDA right now and write your representatives in Washington to put a stop to this outrageous effort to destroy natural medicine. (And be sure to really write them. Just sending an email has virtually no impact compared to writing a physical letter in your own words.)”

Send a letter to your Representative and two Senators demanding the FDA immediately withdraw their oppressive proposed guidelines pending rational discussions with those who depend on dietary supplements to protect their health and livelihood.
Send a letter to the President’s Office of Management and Budget as the FDA’s proposed guidelines on new dietary ingredients directly conflict with an Executive Order issued July 11, 2011, that orders the FDA to streamline and repeal burdensome regulations that interfere with job creation, economic growth, and innovation.

Multi-agency armed raid hits Rawesome Foods, Healthy Family Farms for selling raw milk and cheese

A multi-agency SWAT-style armed raid was conducted this morning by helmet-wearing, gun-carrying enforcement agents from the LA County Sheriff’s Office, the FDA, the Dept. of Agriculture and the CDC (Centers for Disease Control). Rawesome Foods, a private buying club offering wholesome, natural raw milk and raw cheese products (among other wholesome foods) is founded by James Stewart, a pioneer in bringing wholesome raw foods directly to consumers through a buying club. James was followed from his private residence by law enforcement, and when he entered his store, the raid was launched.

Law enforcement demanded that all customers (members) of the store vacate the premises, then they demanded to know how much cash James had at the store. When James explained the amount of cash he had at the store — which is used to purchase product for selling there — agents demanded to know why he had such an amount of cash and where it came from.

James was handcuffed, was never read his rights and was stuffed into an unmarked car. While agents said they would leave behind a warrant, no one has yet had any opportunity to even see if such a warrant exists or if it is a complete warrant.
